Monkeybowl IV - Announcing two new prizes!!!

Post by Pipey »

Please bring a second copy of your team roster for checking and, more importantly, if you are hoping to win the Best Team Name / Roster category.

In addition to the host of glittering prizes on offer each year at Monkeybowl, this year there will be two new awards:

Best painted Monkey

Image

An extra special prize will be given to the coach who turns up with the best painted Monkeybowl monkey (free last year to every entrant).

Best Team Roster

The coach who has the funniest / most creative team name and roster names will also be the recipient of a special prize.

Good luck :D

What if youv'e come up with a really great team name but you need to explain it in order for people to 'get it'?

Good answer.

Looking for something witty / outrageously silly / extremely characterful.

I'll probably be the judge so whatever makes me laugh will do it!

Depending on the number of monkeys that turn up with paint on them, I'll probably do a player vote for best monkey...

I have a close friend who lives in SWF, but unfortunately I am not coming to the tournament, so I guess I am just posting this to tweak Hoomin's nose :P

visiting chilly land? Erm No.

making it to a Tournament? Who do you think I am? Lycos....?

Erm no.

Sorry Hoomin, best I could do would be to get a friend to bring it Wickford and I bring it the rest of the way into Central London, and hand it off to someone else. That is assuming she would do the first leg of the journey for me.

Hello! I'm making the Monkeybowl soundtrack CD and need some song ideas. The theme this year is MONKEYS. So please send any ideas you have for songs that are about MONKEYS. If they're funny as well that'd be good. You could PM me or post them here. Thanks!

Here's what I have so far:
King Kong (The Kinks)
You're Bound to Look Like a Monkey (Roy Harvey/Jess Johnston)
Monkey Man (Specials)
Ramayana Monkey Chant (some Balinese people)
Monkey's Gone to Heaven (Pixies)
Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey (Beatles)
