Human teams rarely take more then 2 catchers in my experience. 5 linemen is the bare minimum though. I would try to get 6 models to allow for more varied starting rosters.jmw23 wrote:How did this team turn out? In a league, is it necessary to have max models for all positionals? Do I really need 4 catcher models? Do I really need more than 5 linemen?

Any Human line-up that doesn't include all 4 Blitzers is fatally flawed IMO.Headstrong wrote:1 ogre 14
2 blitzer 18
1 thrower 7
2 Catchers 14
6 linemen 30
2 rr 10
total: 930
leaves you 70k to do what you want with... either a 3rd reroll or an extra catcher/thrower/linemen or save for next game and get a blizter.
Or change a linemen for a blitzer and get 3ff or something.

Usually I start with
Ogre 140
Blitzers 4 x 90
Thrower 70
Lino 4 x 50
Catcher 70
RR 3 x 50
10k in treasury
If u are unlucky with casulaties (as I am) then u can pass catcher and take 2nd thrower instead. Catchers are easy to level and they are quite fine even "from the box".
Some players dont like Ogre option but he can be very usefull

Yeah I like to buy him later (no good if it's a short league though), and start with all the other re-rolls/players I like:Falkom wrote:Some players dont like Ogre option but he can be very usefull
4xBliter 360
2xCatcher 140
2x Thrower 140
3xLineman 150
4xRR

Definitely think the ogre is worth it, but not for the sake of having one less re-roll/catcher. Saves the dauntless-up on a blitzer/lineman.

That's the player lineup I'd take (and save for the Ogre), but I'm not sure I'd go 4 RR. Yeah, I know it's cheaper to buy them at the start, but still: with Dodge, Catch, Sure Hands and Pass all occurring twice already in the lineup, I think I'd just go with 3 RR and start with either an Apo, or a Lineman for a 12th man.Melipone wrote: 4xBliter 360

I like both lineups. The other option is to start only 3RR (totally enough) and an Apothecary. In a short league, that means you can run out and buy your Ogre right away with no worries. Statistically, you should be able to hire him after match #4.
