Undeads in upcoming championship
So for an upcoming 1.1 mil. national championship im considering bringing my undeads. Basically because I tend to do well with them and because its the only team I have fully painted (which gives +1 coach and fan).
The rules are LRB 5.0 with errata, swiss draw, with 8 initial rounds followed by finals. Normal skill can be given after every match and dbl.skill after 3rd and 7th match.
Im thinking to do the following:
2xMummy (220k)
4xGhoul (280k)
2xWights (180k)
3xZombie (120k)
2xSkellie (80k)
3xRR (210k)
1xFan (10k)
Skill progression:
1. ghoul - sure hands
2. wight - guard
3. mummy - block (dbl)
4. wight - tackle
5. ghoul - block
6. ghoul - block
7. mummy - block (dbl)
I need discussion/advice on especially the skill selection. Normally I would probably prefer a bit more guard earlier on, but the skill selection is tentative since Im allowed to draw my opponent before the actual skill selection, so I can adapt to the situation. After a lot of undead matches I've newer had a mummy with block, so I might be a bit off track due to the fact that I can actually field 2 mummies with block. Other skills to consider is frenzy on one of the wights, which would probaly lead to tackle on a ghoul.
So what do you think? More guard earlier on or different skill selection?

Hi,
Wrestle is great on Ghouls - makes them very useful defensively and also helps them not get hurt from Blocks as much (not so great if your opponents are foul-heavy teams or get the ref happens)
Last tourney took wrestle on 3 ghouls (one per game) and guard on a Wight for the final - was facing lots of bashy opponents (norse*2 and orcs*2 and worked out perfectly

BFN

Once again Mo's Marauders clear the field. Can anyone stop them? This reporter doesn't think so!
