Gobbo's 2nd skill - doubles

Post by Boar Bolter »

I won my rival Undead team yesterday 1-0, and my goal-scoring goblin "Bhagga da Dart" was also the MVP of the game that pushed him to 17 SPP:s. I was lucky, and rolled double 4s. Bhagga already has Catch, and I think I would pick Fend now, because after next improvement roll he can get Side Step. I prefer bashy game, and late turn TD:s.
So, what do you think, Fend or something else?

I'll be boring, take block.

If he is to be a catching threat, then making him a blodger is the best move.

That was my thought, also.... Fend is not gonna help against a double-down... and you can relatively, easily dodge away from most problems....

Guard is statistically the best bet for cage busting. Better to dodge in two goblins than one with Block, Dauntless etc.

Guard would make him more generally useful, though it would also make him a prime target for a good kicking.

So I'd take Block. Boring, but effective.

Guard could be good on a Gobbo. The next one to get doubles should get Wrestle, which is better than block when it comes to knocking the ball lose.

But that Gobbo already has Catch, and Guard/Wrestle don't combo very well with Catch. So you have to chose if you want to get a skill that helps the team in general, or get a skill that helps this catcher.

So I'd go Block on this Gobbo, since he already has Catch.

Next Gobbo doubles, Guard on one, Wrestle on the other.

What team?
Orcs or Pact? Block.
Underworld or Goblins? Guard.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I would propably go with Wrestle as it can be more annoying than Block and he has easy access to Jump Up.
