Nazgob's painting blog - Long time coming
Introdution:
I enjoy painting, but I am abysmal at actually finishing anything that I start, or at maintaining momentum. It gets even worse when I'm looking at a full army, such as those I own for Hordes or 40k (yes, boo hiss GW). Like most people (I hope) I own far more unpainted than painted models. Thus, I'm starting up this blog. I'm hoping that this thing will motivate me - public shame for failure and so on.
Other Threads I've started:
How to build your own Puggy
The miser's guide to building a display stand
Muscle health and the hobbyist
2011 NAF Championship painting competition
Other useful links:
Cool Mini or Not's painting and sculpting article index
The Blog:
So without further ado, here is my most recent WIP.
What are the general populace's view on his eyebrows? I've never had good experience with eyebrows on models - they always ruin things for me.
I also felt that this mighty model needed a nice display base. I'm working one up (looks a bit iffy at the moment, but I remain optimistic). It needs a title though. Suggestions?
Comments, complaints and general ridicule are encouraged.
I figured something like "the perils of a touchline commentator".

Love it, great model and I agree on eyebrows unless they are completly obvious I ignore them and refuse to paint them on. Dwarves fine but I think most models are expressive enough to get away with it. I can't imagine how silly trollbloods would look with bushy brows.

This is just to post because you got a Zug, isn't it?
I'll post mine up once a mate has painted it.

If you lose momentum and can't finish this Zug piece, feel free to give it to me in order to help your painted/unpainted model ratio

Thank you for those words of wisdom Master Wang.

Master Wang: I'll keep you in mind.
Grumbledook: I do indeed have a human team - I took them to both tourneys I attended, and am quite happy with them. I was thinking of trading them in for some elves (pro or wood) or some dwarves (chaos), but now, I think I shall be retaining them for a little while longer. Colour scheme is white and green.
Myki: Whats NG?

Re: Nazgob's painting blog
Yeah, sorry about the lack of updates - I haven't had much time for photographing recently. Zug in 95% per cent finished, as anyone who saw me at Spiky will be able to attest to. I'm back home tomorrow and should have some free time so painting/photographing could well be on the cards.
In the meantime, here's an old picture of my Human team (apologies for the poor focus - photoshop seems to have become unhappy with resizing things for me).
and a close up of helmut wulf
