Urgent help needed! Dwarve inducments 700k!

Right I have a game on Thursday this week vs a highly skilled nurgle team (no claw though :D ) I have 700k to spend on inducments and I am struggling to think of any.

My team has all the postionals, 4 re-rolls (one of which is from leader), the only skills I have are block on 2 runners and leader on one of them.

I was thinking, (without the rule book in front of me) a Droller with block, a wizard (to bring the lightning down on the beast) and as many bribes as possible.


The nurgle team is 14+ players strong and the only additional skills peppered around to my knowledge is block and sure hands.


Any ideas?

How do you induce a DRoller with Block?

I thought you could induce a journeyman with a skill for an adittional 50k?

I don't play with star players that much, but would Morg be a no-brainer with this much to spend?

with a team so hard to move, can't you take a wizard and open the line with a fireball?

Option1:
Wizard: 150
Give the ball to Morg for 430
Apothecary:100

Option2:
Wizard: 150
Grim Ironjaw 220, he may not have Mighty Blow, but he can take the beast of nurgle. Multiple-block dauntless if you feel lucky.
Boomer Eziasson 60k Forget the bomb at first and use him as spare lino, once nurgle surrounds him try to fumble a bomb right in the melee (he has AV9)
Deathroller 190
Babe 50

Option3:
Wizard: 150
Deathroller 190
3x Bribes: 300
Nurgle plans on 1-0 so you can't expect too many drives, foul-foul-foul, the DR has DP

In order of preference (highest first):

Wizard: 150
Grim: 220
Deathroller with Guard: 240
620,000
+ whatever you fancy with the remaining 80,000 - Boomer would be fine (use on defense) - or a Babe

I speak as a Nurgle player. Nurgle hate the Wizard more than almost any other team (I imagine Khemri feel the same). This is because they are slow and clumsy, and rely almost solely on caging to move the ball on offense. Frenzy and Dauntless work well against Nurgle, especially in combination. The Trollslayers will be targets and attempts will be made to isolate them. This is where Grim comes to the rescue, especially against the Beast. The main advantage of Nurgle against Dwarfs is raw strength. This is especially the case since you have no Guard. The Deathroller brings a lot: he give you raw strength, he brings Guard, he is a good cagebreaker against a slow team, and he can tie up opposing players, especially those with AG2 (playing Nurgle at their own game).

Take 3x 50k dirty tricks, if cards are allowed. There's some real gems in there like blatant foul (auto pass armor, no sent off once), kicking boots (a player of your choice gets -MA, Dirty, Kick), Trampoline trap (scatter opposing player d6 squares, if fails landing drops ball), pit trap (put opposing player prone).

Wizard is also needed. After that its up to you really, grim is ok, roller is ok, if he has much claw then 1-2 apoths are necessary. Morg is a bit expensive imo.

I agree with smeborg's choice of Wizard and Guarding Deathroller but instead of Grim, I would take two bribes. If you are going to invest that much in the Deathroller I would want him for more than one drive. It also lets you foul that Blodging Sure Hands Pestigor after one of your tackle lineman get him down. I would also take Boomer as a pseudo 2nd wizard hoping to bust the cage with a bomb. Just my two cents.

My priorities would be thus:

Wizard
Saw with bribe
Apothecary (It's hard to Ko dwarves, so I think the babes will be a waste, especially in what is likely to be a low scoring game.)
Grim Ironjaw?

I know you can't afford all of these.

As your opponent is likely to have some scary players, the tactical saw-gang foul can be a good way to neutralize them. I also like Grim, for the ability to S4 frenzy some of those scary guys right off of the pitch.
