Re: TFF 2011 Legacy Team - Reserve your spot !
So can I be scribbled down for a lineman - no. 35?
For the bases, I think they should be unified, so a simple Goblin Green base with either Flock or Static Grass on.
As much as I like some sand on a base it's frustrating when the sand on 2 models is a different coarseness(sp?) and different colour so they look like they're playing on different surfaces.

Cool, stick me down for #7.SBG wrote:@inkpwn: You've been switched to the troll!
@TalonBay: no need to go to any tourney, just to have a mini and paint it! You're in for a goblin, choose a number!

Since all the other positions are colour coded the goblins should be too. Yellow sounds good to me.Scally09 wrote:So can I be scribbled down for a lineman - no. 35?

Re: TFF 2011 Legacy Team - Reserve your spot !
On the subject of basing, I would be happy to volenteer to make a plinth style display base with recessed holes to put the models bases in so they sit flush with the surface.
This would be my first attemt at this sort of thing, but I am keen! It might not turn out as lush as the ones i've seen Traveller do though!
i would just need to know the total no of minis and how many 25mm/40mm bases so I can make the right no of spaces to fit all the models.

I'll keep this offer in mind.Scally09 wrote:On the subject of basing, I would be happy to volenteer to make a plinth style display base with recessed holes to put the models bases in so they sit flush with the surface.

Unfortunately, unless I'm mistaking, you'd only know this at the very last minute, since sometimes people drop out or are added at the last minute.
But that would be very nice!
@ all: on the topic of base rings, I have no preferences, but I think that we should stick with colour rings. People will use minis from a variety of sources and sometimes, it can be hard to differentiate a lineman from a blitzer, as an exemple.
As for grass, I have no clue. But for fluff value, I think a Blood Bowl pitch isn't as nicely trimmed as an NFL or Premier League pitch, so I, for one, wouldn't mind the difference in sand/grass.
But if the majority wants to go with a unified basing system, can someone with more experience than me could chime in and give a basing how-to we should follow?

Correct.
edit: that was for the yellow-basering on the gobs.
I'd probably do something green, like all my normal BB-teams. I dont have static grass. But I agree (also) on the idea that models should be standing in something green...ish. (see here.)

As far as bases go i think just a painted green base would be best them the winner can do as they wish once they have them and every model will be identical.

I've got some good ideas for a turn marker and I would really like to contribute.

Perhaps a poll to decide how we make the bases would be order?

Bases poll here: viewtopic.php?f=58&t=33047
I still think rings and numbers should be done by contributor.
