Well there is one poster who, in spite of almost everyone disagreeing, keeps arguing the point. Some people don't know when to stop and talk about something else.

Big +1. Out of the 750+ pages (remember the first one was locked shortly after 400+ pages and the new one is going to top that soon), 2 out of 3 pages are written by one person. Who refuses to accept anything written by anyone. I truly believe he would argue with himself if no one was writting anything on his threads. Though it does provide me moments of humour whilst waiting for Civ 5 to load.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

He's managed another 300+ page thread? I really should go back to the Cry'n'hide forum.

Hence my less-than-welcoming welcome to him.

I thiink that bribe I sent Dode's way must have worked, as he doesn't seem to ban him as often now...;)

I still think he must have some connection to Toby - maybe his younger, less intelligent brother...

You sent me a bribe? :o

Seriously, apart from verging on trolling and a few low-level ad hominems he's not been worth banning. Nothing bannable about being wrong ;)

What I don't understand is why everyone else keeps posting too (or at least on the same theme). Its been argued to death and no one is moving.

Least of all the rules.
I quite like the house rule for standard play as well.
I remain amazed that all this fuss is over a three skill combo that requires at least one more skill to be even vaguely reliable.
if nothing else it is a true illustration of how far removed from "Real" Blood Bowl "Virtual" Blood Bowl is.

several times, I've seen the comment that claw/mb combo makes a player into a halfling. But that isn't quite true--it turns them into worse than a halfling due to halflings getting auto BH'd on a 9, where +1 inj makes a 9 an cas roll.

Why not make the +1 to inj from MB actually work like a halfling-- change the injury roll to be 1-6 stun, 7-8 KO, 9 BH, and 10+ CAS if MBlow is used on the Injury.

Doesn't change the blood, but does increase the number of BH, reducing the effect of Claw/mb beyond the current game.

(just a late night thought)

It's not comparable to a Halfling. Halflings are Av 6 and have Stunty so rolling a 7 twice would KO a halfling without using MB. Rolling a 7 twice with Claw and MB would require the MB to get through the armour and therefor would only be stunned. It's much easier to injure a Halfling, as long as you can knock the sneaky little buggers down that is. :)

Funny ... I wish my Halflings had AV 7. Also the other reason that this doesn't work for whoever said it. If I roll an injury roll of 8 with Mighty Blow ... the Halfling is Badly Hurt. The player hit with Claw/MB is just KO'd.

In Cupcake's defence (and I can't believe I'm doing this :puke: ) what he said was that Claw/MB makes every player's AV into a halfling, as you break any AV on a 7+. He didn't mention Injury.

He's right on this.

Still doesn't make MB/PO/Claw OP though.

This is tiring. And since no one is arguing it anymore, I can add my two cents: when people start talking about 4-5 skill combos there will always be something overpowered.

Like a Pass-Safe Throw-Accurate-Strong Arm-AG4 Thrower (where only Strong Arm requires a double). Combine that with a Catch-NOS-AG4 player and you have a nigh unstoppable combo, which you can easily stop to knocking the buggers down, fouling them, etc.

Which can be done with any nasty combo, especially since so many eggs (and spps) are in the same basket.
