A longer blog update soon, but in the meantime I wanted to recommend Instant Mold. This stuff is absolutely superb and does exactly what it says on the tin. I'll post results next week, but rest assured that I have nothing but good to say of it.

Looking forward to the Instant Mold review and suggestions.
I got some, and so far it does not do what I want it to do (copy football style helmets).

Is this the sort of stuff you can use to copy a sculpture, say, of a trophy?

the youtube clip of how to use it is useful.. plus I've never seen a video with that kind of backing music which I could actually admit to my wife I was watching!

nazgob, what brand of static grass did you use for the mini tutorial? That one has some very curvy strands.

Full post as soon as I can, but first some housekeeping.
@piousman I'm experimenting with helmets. Well, heads. Just for you.
@giraffe If the head works, I'm pretty sure that trophies could work just as well.
@Steam Ball I use Army Painter 'Field Grass' static grass. Just scroll down on this page and you'll find it.
Finally, I think I'm going to follow in the wake of all good things - zlurpcast, threedieblock, the D6 Generation. I'm going to aim for bi-monthly updates. It should encourage me to paint regularly and also prevent me from spending too much time on here rather than working. Like I need more persausion.
Anyhow, on with the blog. I've tried to document my progress with the Instant Mold. I've largely been successful but I may have the same difficulties as Pug. Photobucket is misbehaving. I'll post as soon as I can.

I've decided to migrate. I had some complaints that only members could view the site and I've been thinking about branching out a bit, so I thought you might all like to know that I am still blogging, but elsewhere.

Lovely stuff, I have just started my very first attempt at sculpting a miniature from scratch, I'm making a human kicker that will hopefull end up on my Zug humans team (I think I told you about that? Anyway - I have done the basic skeleton minus the head and sculpted the legs. Do you have any tips though because it is really tricky and fiddly work. Plus I am basically sculpting one small section of it and then leaving the minature for a day before i do the next leg or arm etc... very long process. But fun.
Also I have no idea how I am going to do the face, that seems nighon impossible.

Nice blog, added to favorites .
I like the background too (even if it's a tad busy sometimes). Some new paintings, some old, love it.
And I was indeed also curious about that "instant mold". CMON is driving me nuts with their updates about it .

If you want to pick up the instant mold stuff do a search as it is also called something else( can't remember the name) but you can get it for a 1/4 of the price CMON is selling it for.
Great blog.

Oyumaru?
Anyway, I thought I have said something before: great blog, fun to read. And could you post here a note when you update it, so I (we) don't miss any installments? Looking forward to the next.
