Conceding
What happens, when a coach decides to concede before setting up for a kick-off where he could only field 2 or less players?
For example my Undead plays vs. Woodies and the Woodies actually have TD 2:1 but they can only put 2 players on the field. They decide to concede. Who is winner of the game? Which result does occurs? The actual result or the league result for conceding?

You may choose to concede a match at the start of one of your
own turns, before moving the Turn marker along the track.
Hmmm, it doesnt actually say what to do with the score....Page 29 wrote:CONCEDING
A coach that concedes (see page 15) before setting up for a
kick-off where he could only field 2 or less players suffers no
additional penalties. If one coach concedes the match for any
other reason then the winner gains all of the loser"s winnings and
MVP from this match. In addition, the loser automatically loses
one Fan Factor and may not roll for a new one, and any players
in the loser"s team that have 51 SPPs or more will leave the
team on a D6 roll of 1-3. Roll separately for each player with 51
or more SPPs to see if they leave.
In the one time that it has happened in my league, I just bumped the winners score to one TD over the conceeder's score and recorded that.
So in your example, bump the score to 3-2 to the Undead for league result.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Re: Conceding
Well, they definatively lose because they have condeded! The mechanics though aren't clear of how it is recorded. Increasing the winners td total to the minimum needed to win seems sensible.

Re: Conceding
Technically the right way to do this would be to record a "concede" in the results column and not change the TDs.

Re: Conceding
My more important question is - does the conceding coach dodge all the bullets if he concedes out of "necessity", i.e. too few players on the LOS.
(Lost mvp, lost winnings, star players deserting, that sort of things)
Or are there still some penalties that apply?

As from the rules:
"A coach that concedes (see page 15) before setting up for a
kick-off where he could only field 2 or less players suffers no
additional penalties."

Re: Conceding
Yes, but loss of MVP or winnings is not an "additional" penalty. It is the standard penalty for conceding..

from a previous post:
"A coach that concedes (see page 15) before setting up for a

additional penalties. If one coach concedes the match for any

I read that as "if the coach concedes for any other reason aside from not being able to field his team, then apply all these penalties"

Re: Conceding
As per dsavillian - I'm not seeing where the concession rules are unclear.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
