I just have a good memory for faces, and seeing as i've played thads a fair few times on fumbbl he has stuck in my brain (oh the horror)

Any ways my memory can't be that great seeing as i'm sure you had a custom death roller .... maybe it was an apo (something is rattling about that it may have been in the style of an NFL style stretcher wagon ... thing)

Ah - now what you're remembering there IS part of my second edition team, which I had with me the year after we played (which performed much better, going 4-1-1, with the one loss coming against blasted Count Luthor again, on table 10 or 11. Iirc the guy went on to win the Warhammer World cup.) It is indeed my Field Cart apothecary, converted from an Ork Wartrak. You must have seen that team but not played against it.

At first glance I really liked these miniatures, then after a few more looks I started to have doubts. Certainly, great sculpts for the price that has to be said, but yeah closeups required. I personally didn't mind the slayers at first but now I'm not so sure, and then I noticed one of my biggest (and admittedly most irrational) pet peeves in BB; one of the Longbeards is pointing. I really don't like sculpts that are pointing because 9/10 times the finger looks disproportionate imo.

That looks wrong to me as well, almost like he's holding a pistol (but that might be the angle of the pic).

Scibor uses a very pliable resin which is much more forgiving.. it's almost slightly rubberized..

so when I say I hate resin what I mean is I hate "brittle" resin.. I think, though not sure, that the GW Finecast resin is pretty brittle too..
I have received an intact Micheline Tenderness but it took a couple of goes and complaints before I finally got one

Its such a shame because its a nice mini but I'd never use it in a game situation because as you say it really is brittle

I can't look at that pointing one without thinking "Pull my finger..."

Just means Matt has a better memory than me.
He says this  and then types out this:
Thadrin wrote:If the result was 1-1 then that would have been the first Blood Bowl. I had my Third ed dwarfs at that one. The Death roller would have been the standard thired edition one.
(I lost my first game of the tournament to one of the many teams exploiting how nasty Luthor was at the time and then went on a run of four 1-1 draws. I couldn't tell you who or what I played in any of them., excepting that there was one game vs Halflings where he had three treemen and did a good job of hiding his hobbits behind the wall of big STR big AV. I also remember the last game because I was way down the bottom tables thanks to the rulespack counting a 1TD loss the same as a Draw, and the fact that my opponent was a Norse player who thought that throwing long bombs laterally accross the pitch was a good idea.)
Thads, maybe you should have said I have a really lousy memory......except when it comes to BB.

I'm amazed I remembered that much TBH, and wouldn't have done had I not looked at the NAF site and seen what races I played against. Apart from the last one. You never forget someone throwing a long bomb lateral. Couldn't ell you a thing about any of the players.
I can actually remember a fair bit about the games I played the second year, probably because they went so much better.
