Re: 2nd ARBBL?
I like the idea of a team tournament, the Spiky one was fun, they got 7 teams 28 players, don't know why it wasn't repeated.

Ok, adding a poll.

Voted for a team thing, but I'd like to add that using the rules in the OP for a team thing would be cooler than these two

Re: 2nd ARBBL?
As mentioned before, with 1 (+1 v soon) small children its a bit far for me, but team events are definitely lacking in the south (have there been any in the last couple of years)?
So my vote would be "not in the next year or two, but then Yes, and would prefer a team event"

Voted team event. Don't really like the idea of playing two different teams at the same tourney tbh.

Re: 2nd ARBBL?
Ok, so a team event is currently winning (damn you all! ).
Anyone know of a software that's easy to use that can do Swiss Team/Swiss player?
Does the NAF have access to the system used at the last WC? There's no way I could make an excel sheet of my own to do it.
And team size? My concern would be making the teams to big would limit the numbers, as we'd be able to fit 50 (+/- a few) single players, but if we went with 4-man teams (a la the Spiky Challenge), that means 12 teams. Also, bigger teams means more opportunity for drop-outs to cause a problem (I couldn't ask my lot to all be on standby, they'd want to play).
3-man teams would mean we could get 16 teams in.

Re: 2nd ARBBL?
If its to be teams, can it also be teams with mixed races chosen like in the original suggestion? That way a goblin player like myself might even be able to fool himself he has 3 friends for the weekend :p

Darkson wrote:1. That would defeat the object of the tourney. I want the winner to be someone that proved themselves with 2 races of differing power levels
But your not enforcing that as you can use Amazons (1) one day and woodelf (1) the next, both from the same tier as your example clearly states is legal:

Maybe make it " A team from a different tier must be used on day two " or something like......
I would be interested in a team event, maybe undead / gobbo's for me

Re: 2nd ARBBL?
You couldn't take Wood Elf and Amazon, as that you only be 2 tier points, and you need to spend 5+.
I have no problem with people taking 2 weaker teams.
Hmmm, team event, different races day 2....
Gonna have a play with Score, see if it can cope.

Re: 2nd ARBBL?
4 tiers screams 4 man team to me....
Can score handle Tier 1 v tier 1 draws ect? Or does the result decide who plays who? EG: win with gobbo's round 1 (probably against Hawks Woodelves.....Or Lizardmen ) would mean i played another "winner" (EG: Not Gazza) in round 2
(Did I get everyone in......?? Hmmmm, Lunchmoney target selected)

Re: 2nd ARBBL?
Ok lets attack the woodys
I'm thinking Flings day one, Norse day two
Now I just got to convince 3 people to let me play with them.... Its like being picked last again for the school team
