Re: Playing the 24 - only lizzies to go!
Well if it helps I am (and always have been) taking Underworld to ARBBL. They are of the crunchy Stunty variety so unlikely to be troubling the Lizards, with a bit of luck or artful draw managment I could play Si's Vamps somewher along the line.
Happy for any matchups

Lizardmen - Swindon Sarcotics - ARBBL 2013
Saving one of the best teams until last, the Lizards are an excellent team to play with, though this rulepack is not their best as they need a load of block to start with. I took 6 saurus and 6 skinks and 4 rerolls, to make up for the lack of block.
Game 1 v Ray's all snotling team (won 3-2)
This was a nail-biter, ridiculously! I kicked, and didn't listen to him talking about his 2 sure feet snotlings (skills, schmills), so set up all menz on the LOS (too much Fumbbl for me). He duly did some passing and handing off in the back field, then ended up in my backfield! 1-0. I scored, but only after a lot of shenanigans after a lack of block meant that I needed pows to make any progress at all without dodging. The next time I kicked I set up further back, but was too scared of the sidestep so didn't blitz the ball carrier. A three-dice uphill snotblitz needing a push worked for him, and so with a lack of time I needed a 3,4,3,2,2 to scrape the win in the end. Well played by him!
Game 2 v Senseihoymonkey's Dark Elves (won 2-1)
I now had a blodging skink after a double allowed in game 2, but Nuffle was having a laugh in this game with many many pows and skulls on both sides, lots of things working that shouldn't have, and things not working that should. Another tight finish.
Game 3 v Dieseluk's Undead (drew 2-2)
2 break tackling lizards now, and they began to have a bit of an effect, but all I could do was pressurise the ghoul and force 3+ dodges, all of which came off. C'est la vie!
Game 4 v Matthwhile's Woodies (lost 3-2)
Slightly scared of Matt's tackling wardancer, but the block skink had a great game, causing multiple turnovers as matt carried the ball with a wood elf catcher without block, and I rolled lots of both downs! Close game, which ended with Matt hiding in the corner of his own half for 3 turns! He went on to win the tourney though, so fair enough.
Game 5 v Lycos' Halflings (won 2-1)
Solid drive from Dave that I didn't defend tremendously well, but then managed to run in for 1-1 at half time. A kick to the corner along with the Incoming card kept things interesting, but a couple of good turns for the lizards made the game a bit more solid.
Game 6 v Hawk's Woodies (lost 4-1)
This was one of the most thorough dicings I've ever had the misfortune to endure. A failed pick-up and many elven dodges (1-0), a pitch invasion with 7 of my players out on a 5+ (2-0), and then it was all doomed. Entertaining, though!
Now I just have to decide which teams to play next - time to get the sub-150 teams up above 150, I think.

I'm probably underplaying how lucky Matt was - twice the ball bounced to one of his players after I knocked it free.

I love this idea of trying to play all 24 teams in different tournaments. I need to start painting up new teams.

Re: Playing the 24 - ALL DONE!
I borrowed a Slann team, (thanks again Darkson) and have made up others, for example Vampires were a human team with Star players as the Vamps!
Only four to go now, Khemri, Nurgle, Goblin and Ogres.

Re: Playing the 24 - ALL DONE!
I'm going to be borrowing a few teams to complete my 24: CD's, High Elves, Khemri, Necro, Norse, Orc and Vamps. And if all goes well, I'll be done by day one of ARBBL Pick 'n' Mix in November

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Re: Playing the 24 - ALL DONE!
Sure ok, I'll do that. Are you going to give me a fully painted team, to keep, so I can use my own? I cant afford to buy all the missing ones (as much as I'd like to). As like most others, I spend all my money on going to tournaments (and maybe the mortgage...) Until then I'll borrow the teams I need from my league matesRolex wrote:BOOOO!!!!

Re: Playing the 24 - ALL DONE!
Just joking.
I'm a bit of a fanatic in teams.
I completed the 24 teams just after my second tourney in 2010 and using all of them as always one of my objectives.
Now I own 84 (and still counting) so it's probably a form of mental illness.
