Why not just make an alternate head?

While I tend to prefer the big hat chaos dwarves, I like this team a lot! I agree with the comments regarding the star player. The whole head looks like a khorne berserker.

A 40k helmet on a fantasy mini with a gun just looks wrong to me. The beards are one of the most distinctive parts of the chaos dwarf "look." The lack of a beard also make the mini look "wrong" to me.

I'm the minority here but what the hell... As i don't give a toss about GW fluff and it's aesthetical implications, the star player "ears" seem fine enough as they are. Perhaps with a bit of extra decoration though (arabesques, for example?).

Any of them are better for me, though #4 is my least favourite.#But I still think it needs a beard poking out from under the helmet.

Beard is done at the end, when armour and anything which is covered by it gets finished.
