Where do I find these Chaos Dwarves?

Post by Saebelsultan »

Where do I find these Chaos Dwarves? They look GW, but a quick search hasn't produced anything for me...
Thanks for helping!

Google + image search. The blog page hosting that image mentioned "Infernal Guard" and tagged forgeworld in the post.

Look like the Forgeworld models, or a really good conversion

Oh, wow, they look awesome.
But the removal of weapons would be a nightmare, I guess...

Those are certainly the Forgeworld Chaos Dwarfs.

Luckily the hands are separate from the bodies.

Damn, that is a fantastic paint job. I picked a set of these up to use for bloodbowl but I'm still in love with the big hats and I prefer the GW hobgoblins over anything else I've seen.

They were my first BB purchase so I've got a soft spot for them. I like the Mongol look that GW gave the hobgoblins. I always liked the sneaky gits unit and the bloodbowl models look almost exactly like them

The GW hobgoblins are the best hobgoblins I've seen. Meiko's are pretty good too, obviously they're influenced by the 3rd edition GW ones.

What models would you use to go with the Forgeworld chaos dwarves?

Click on that link to the french forum, they used something very nice, although the conversion must have been a pain in the a.... you know where. ;)

And I really wonder what they used for the bull centaur.

I used WHFB horses on my chaos dwarf bull centaurs.
I just shortened the legs of old GW chaos warriors for the dwarfs but couldn't come up with something better for the centaurs...
Also, I'm not very happy with night goblins for the hobgobs.

Agree on both fronts. Big Hats are a big reason I like Chaos Dwarves. I like the GW hobgoblins way better than any other ones out there.

Big Hats are stupid, and why I never played CDs. I was glad when a mate made a team using old proper Chaos Dwarves, so I could borrow them, and if I had the skill and/or money I'd get the FW ones or find old WFB/BB Chaos Dwarfs.
Big Hats suck.

If (or maybe when) I were to create a chaos dwarf team, I'd use the chaos dwarves form Russian Alternative

As far as CD go, I reckon these Forgeworld models are awesome.
So, which figures would you reckommend? Fireglaives or Ironsworn? And, since I have no conversion experience whatsoever, where do I get fitting hands?

Thanxs a lot!
