What's the best way to mail painted figures?

Post by rolo »

I am soon going to have to mail some painted metal figures, and I don't want them to chip or have the paint rub off.

What's worked best for people?

Wrapped in soft tissue, placed in a suitable sized baggy, wrapped in bubble wrap, then placed in padded envelope. That's how I've received painted minis and they have always been fine.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

if posting a team I wrap the models individually in tissue paper then wrap these in batches of 4-5 in bubble wrap. Often I will wrap all the batches together in another layer of bubble wrap.

I'll then make a cardboard box to fit the models I have and pad all this with foam and bubble wrap. The cardboard box is important as it needs to be solid enough to give protection from being crushed or bashed about so the models need to be stuffed in so they can't rattle about.
