House rule it a draw then. That's what we did, as we wouldn't have had time to play OT most games evenings anyway.

So does the ECBBL. Overtime is only played in play-off games.

hate to revisit old pain, but....

I'd like to see an official ruling on what can change between a roll and its reroll. Specifically, can you choose to use skills on a rerolled die that you didn't on the first roll, and if so, what kind of other modifiers are "recalculated" for the roll.

If this stays ambiguous, you'll need to tweak the wording on diving tackle.

Right now, if you're dodging through a DT's tacklezone and he goes prone, when you reroll the dodge, you use the (now prone and tacklezone-free) DTer's tacklezones in the AG roll calculation.

If you say that the TZ applied to the first roll and should apply to the second (which I think is fair), I think ruling that you can use DT to affect the second roll is questionable.

If the dodge and rerolled dodge are really two separate attempts (allowing for the DT to apply to the second and not the first), why does a DT which is applied to the first apply to the second as well? DT is not a trait, and should only apply to one roll.

These are all very niggly arguments and were beaten to death in a previous thread. Mostly, I'd like to see rulings on the atoms of bloodbowl play; what sorts of things cannot be further broken down? But Galak did say that he'd add it to the hotlist.

Galak: Thanks for keeping this list up. I'm sure the BRCC appreciates what you do, but I also thought I'd chime in and let you know that it's a huge help as a resource.

No problem. I do it because otherwise, I'm one the first ones to yell if something I thought was important didn't get discussed.

Inaccurate pass and interception

Post by Smeborg »

Hi Galak - keep up the good work.

This is how we (my son and I) now play an inaccurate pass and interception:

- Work out which square the pass has scattered to.

- Work out whether the pass can now be intercepted (using a line from the thrower to the new destination square).

- Resolve interception attempt (if any).

- If the ball has not been intercepted, resolve catch or bounce in the new destination square.

I'd like to see this sequence incorporated into the rules. It seems to make most sense. There are a couple of niggly things to regulate as well:

- What happens if the ball scatters into the crowd (I suggest you use the last square on the pitch to resolve interception attempts)?

- Can the Safe Throw skill be used on an Inaccurate Pass (I suggest not)?

Cheers

I think it's been stated somewhere (last years rules review?) that the intercept before the pass rule isn't going to be changed/reviewed.

Its a dead issue with the BBRC. Its a game mechanic that works in their opinion and if you don't like it ... its a house rules issue only. Sorry Smeborg ... its sounds like a fine house rules for your local play.

What were they? Personally I've played against Thrud twice now and I don't see the problem with him at all.

I tihnk he means the clear up on his price, cause some people think he freeboots at 25k, due to the fact that all the other stars are at their normal price

christer had a good idea to list them all at freeboot price and then say double the cost for a permanent roster and just note thrudd can only be freebooted

This is just something petty that I'd like to see changed in the LRB. It's a common grammer mistake. The use of the two words "for free" together. It's scattered throughout the book. This is bad grammer, like I said it's petty but that's what you get with a English teacher for a mother.
Instead of "for free" it should simply be "free" or "at no cost".
If you'd like I could go through and find all instances of this attrocity of the English language. Then again, maybe it is correct grammer in the Queen's English?

Actually, that's the most stOOpid ruling in the entire LRB in my opinion. Geeze, just deny obvious logic for an insignificant increase in interceptions. How retarded can you get?
