Dirty Player...get more fouling in game but at cost

Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

even without the injury modifiers the player will not be doing anything next turn. And if you allow more fouling odds are after 2-3 fouls he will be off the pitch. so you can still get si's and deaths without worrying about ejections.
But by the time, you lock 3-5 players on the foul to get the damn git off the pitch, you loose the ball and get beaten up elsewhere.
And fouling 3 times give you a 42%-chance to get sent off at least once.

yeah but nothing should be a near guarantee...if you want to foul you have to commit players and time to do it. with dp in it's current form you got around 60% to get player off the field on first try. that's too high.

1. Take the basic +1 bonus to the AV roll away from fouls. You still get +1 for assists, but a lone fouler has to make a straight roll.

2. Change Dirty Player to: The player gets a +1 bonus to either the Armour OR Injury roll when he makes a foul. In addition, he will only ever be sent off for a foul on a natural 6; even in the IGMEOY counter is on his team.

i'd go with nazgit's proposal too. +2 is just too strong....and it's either av or inj. only other +2 injury in game is RSC and they need doubles to get it.

I quite like that, possibly with that change the eye could be lost altogether.

The current fouling situation seems to be that it is largely useless without DP but slightly too good with it, mainly due to the +2.

Another solution is to not allow assists as the +2 is made far more dangerous by the fact that with a little effort you can make the armour roll negligible, especially with a man advantage on the pitch.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

yeah the eye was originally introduced because of dirtyplayer...instead of fixing dirtyplayer they attacked fouling which I think was the wrong answer.

so because of dirty player we lost spp for fouling and got the eye developed....and it can still be abused.

so fix dirty player and change fouling back IMHO.

The current system has two considerations for fouling.
Whether a dirty player is available
Whether the eye is on the team

This change would make at most one of those apply (the +2 armor being almost extranious in most fouls I see.
