yeah yellow is a pain.... best i have ever done is two coats of yellow (over neat white undercoat) Then an ink wash of dark yellow and that should give it plenty of body.

Shame i dont own a digital camera as i could upload my Choas Dwarf. They have BrIgHt orange. Very in ya face and this i did with progressive layers of paint. First coast is base colour - then overpaint with slighty darker mix including red. Then two base coasts over again the main body of paint to begin highlighting; then as many highlights of base colour+white as you can take.

More layers of opaqe colour=more chance of vibrant colour
