Speaking of Zzhark Madeye.. is it correct that he is a Chaos Dwarf Blocker yet does not have the Block skill? Or is that a typo?
If it is indeed true: how come? what made him forget how to block? Or was Zzhark such a whimp when he was a Rookie that they gave him a big gun so he'd have a shot (ahaha) at hurting his opponents?
/threadjack/:Also, I think it would have been helpful to include some kind of identification on the Star Players table, to wit, stating the race/position of each one. Just looking at the stats, you might think that e.g. Barik Farblast was a human Lineman with a gun. I've never heard some of the names on that list, some got changed, and I feel all confuesd and worried and left out. /Threadjack over/

I totally agree with ya. Unless you're totally up to speed on all the changes and developments that have happenned in the game, some of the names are totally ambiguous as to the Star's race, position and whatnot.
Sure, some are mentioned in passing in the BG fluff but not everyone reads that stuff. Personally I'd just like to see the Star's original Race mentioned that way, if there isn't an existing fig for the miniature, we can at least know what figure range/style to look at for a suitable replacement model.

Question of course being ... "does it matter what you use to represent the star as long as it is clear on your team who he is???" ... I'm guessing not.
The reason no race or anything like that is included on the star player list is that as soon as you do that players start thinking he counts as one of those types of players.
IE ... if you say that Griff is Human Blitzer than immediately folks will argue that if you have 4 Blitzers on your team that you cannot take Griff (as this is the rule for Mercenaries). Its not correct ... but it is what happens ... so we totally left them off to avoid this very common error.
Personally if you had a Human with a Blunderbuss conversion for Barik for your team ... I won't have a problem with that.
Oh and it was decided that if you are carrying around a bulky blunderbuss that it is really difficult to be able to properly block and be blocked so that skill was removed. If Zzharg would ditch the blunderbuss ... he'd get Block back ... but he loves it too much to do that.

So, it's not a typo.. well, I've alwayas thought it a bit weird that, on the occasion that a player finds himself on a BB pitch armed with a freakishly big shotgun, the first (and only) idea of what to do with it was: Gee, I could use this to fire the ball downfield... How much of a genius would you have to be to think of shooting some opponents with it? My point is: a blunderbuss should not make you weaker in "combat", it should make you better. Would you try and bodily tackle someone armed with a shotgun?
And of course you're right about the representation of Stars on the pitch; I'm a big fan of the "counts as" approach myself to use weird minis in a game. Still, there are lots of folks who like to do it "by the book".. there might even be a few who (in an "official" tournament, perhaps) would object to me using, say, Count Luthor to represent Hubris Rakarth and get all rules-lawyery about it.
Positions for Star Players might be confusing, but telling us what race they are surely would not cause confusion but reduce it.

Yes. The ref does not kick out the player after the first half so he is now availiable to play in the second.l_dauguet wrote:I put my chainsaw on the field. Kick off is GTR. The drive ends with the first half.
Begining of the second half : Can I field my secret weapon again ?
He will get kicked out after any drive he plays in the second half as normal.
