I think it would be nice to play it as a fairly straight tournament - without bells and whistles. Make it the most prestigious event in stunty land - a sort of stunty major.

Ok, seeing as there is clearly enough interest, what time of year do people favour? Once I get an idea of this, I will try and secure a venue for a 1 day, 4 game glorification of all things Stunty!

Cheers

Is there enough interest to go for the two days? Maybe 4 straight games and some all stunty megabowl action!!

Two days would be great. Or at least 4 games as WL says.

Thought about a venue? Maybe Fanboy3 would be interested...

It's usually fairly quiet in the UK around late July, early August.

Just thought that Stunties are perhaps the wackiest teams of BB so a crazy style tournament with cards producing wierd action on the pitch could be good.

@ Pippy/Wightlord, 2 days would be great but I would like to start out with a 4 game, 1 dayer and see how many we get. This also might help us with venue hire/costs & numbers. Am looking to make this a cheap tourney to help get people along (hopefully, £10 max). Re:venue - FB3 would be good, GW might also be an option and there is a pub that we looked at for the Waterbowl for next year. The pub event space was too small for the Waterbowl Weekender, but there was probably enough room for 20 coaches, so that may well be big enough for the inaugural Waterbowl Stunty Slam.

July/August sounds good.

@Wightlord - also like wacky, not a fan of the cards though tbh. Might be room for some special rules for certain rounds, but need to think on this. Everything very much in the initial stages of development atm.

Re: wacky carnage, a tournament a la the dutch Colleges of Magic would be fun. Their rules sound great!

What do people feel about all skink line-ups? My own personal feeling is that they do not really fit, but am interested to hear what others think.

Cheers

I for one do not think that the lizard team comes under a stunty team. An all skink line up is not for me.

Ditto for me. I am also up for this tournie with the Flings!

Craziness is to be encouraged I feel, so maybe utilise special stadia (e.g. squigbowl for goblin vs goblin or certain rounds, etc)??

Venue wise I think the pub we looked at would be great (and being downstairs grants us immunity from the predilections of the general mancunian inquirer/imbiber/patron :D )

Could be up for it with Goblins. A One dayer on a Saturday would be good for me. Pub sounds good especialy if we are all playing stunties as there might be a need for beer.

I'm most definatly up for it. As I said in my emails (hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, btw).

I'll be bringing along goblins. Always with the goblins (so now you can put a team next to 'Duncan Hargreaves' up there).

Think it would be an idea to make games as wacky as possible. Having said that, merely the fact that it's all stunty teams would make it pretty wacky anyway...

As for lizards. I have to say (as a lizard player) that they don't really fit in. All skink would be fun, but they would still not quite fit in.
