But ironically, in a reversal of fate it turns out the Vampire miniatures are amazing while the Orc ones are rubbish.

I'd use Woodies and not buy a Treeman if I were going to playtest an opposite team vs. Orcs. That's as opposite as there is. If you're thinking about total team roster composition, without eliminating options, then go High Elves.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Well, how about an all out skink team then? ;)

pff Skinks are lame :)

I suggest 16 little Snots dacing around a Ball :)

More oposite of a bashy team is impossible

But still Skinks are a Basher Team like Orcs (atleast compared to Snotlings)

So try a full Snotling team without Ogres (or only 1-2 max for TTM) :)

more away from bashy is impossible.

The only other direction would be a fast Agility Team and thats Woodelfs

Or you could play as Chaos, which are a punishingly hard team to start out with.

Both Orcs and Wood Elves can skill up pretty quickly - Chaos Teams take about a dozen games before they even have a good selection of players with even one skill each...

But the play style of Chaos is pretty much the same playstyle as orcs. It just takes longer for Chaos to get good at grinding and they're more brutal (if that was possible) once they get there.

It's either Skaven or Woodies that are the polar opposite of Orcs, I lean towards Skaven more than Woodies because they're about 93.6% cooler.

the skaven would be easier to model to from warghammer skaven models, they are pretty fast as well and can take mutations, which makes for great conversions.

this chick i know is making a skaven team though, ill have to ask her if she doesnt mind me stepping on her toes.

Wood Elfs

Pros:
+ Mobile
+ Fast
+ Easy to play
+ Very good and cheap starplayers to use when your players are MNG
+ Easy to get One-Turners
+ Strong, Tough Big-Guy

Cons:
- Low AV
- Expensive
- High injury rate (you always save the apo for the best players)
