I took Guard on my early draft Pro Elf Catchers the ones with leap instead of NOS and couldn't live without it... Guard on a highly mobile player is excellent.

I would either take Guard or Mighty Blow (HE catchers make great blitzers!).
Can't say better than that.

I think Guard on any Player on this team is a good use of a doubles roll...but as Blitzers, it would seem that they rock.

Imagine, after some skills, having 4 watered-down Wardancers...I think that they are the real stars of the team. (Even though I have never been lucky enough to play them in a league :( Speed kills! )

See, I see NOS as a primarily defensive skill on my Pro Elf Catchers. Sure, sometimes I have to catch in a TZ on offense, but I try to score on O with linemen and Blitzers. NOS generally finds its utility when formations start breaking down: if the ball pops free, I don't have to worry about whether my downfield receiver is in scoring position. Likewise, if I can get to the ball in 2 TZs and have a TRR, I can probably chuck it to safety without having to dodge and spend a square, potentially making the pass easier, too. It also combines scarily well with Dodge and Pass Block, if you're a Pass Block kind of guy.

On the question, I think Ian's right on balance. As a doubles roll on a High Elf, Guard is probably the better choice. NOS benefits greatly from multiples, and it's not worth it on earned doubles skills. Plus NOS encourages passes, which means having lots of TRRs. That's harder for High Elves than for Pro Elves, who can easily start with 3 TRRs and 5 positionals. I'm just taking issue with the characterization of NOS as a primarily offensive skill on an AG4 player.
