Dodge is easy to negate when you have only one player on the team with it. Any decent cagebreaking Blitzer will have Tackle, surely.
Well this guy is an awesome cagebreaking Blitzer - https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=play ... id=7887167
Str 4 Blodge Surehands cannot be overestimated.
It will be rare that your opponent will have more than 2 tacklers so your guys can go hunting them too.
Also taking Fend is a great choice after Dodge as it removes the need to dodge occasionally and also can leave your opp in tough situations. https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=play ... id=7902947
This is my ballcarrier and he has hardly needed to make a dodge but the str 4 blodge has kept him upright superbly.
I think dodge is better than break tackle. For one thing, dodging with the reroll gives you a 75% chance of getting free if you can't otherwise, but the improvement of being able to take hits a bit better is more than worth it.
Break Tackle is awesome for a ST4 thro-ra. At least in my own experience the khemri offence gets bogged down too easily and Break Tackle will be amazing for clearing those situations. Plus reliable dodging is a godsend to khemris on defence too, especially as this thro-ra can is great at blitzing with ST4 too. I'd probably take Break Tackle for blitz-ra's as a later skill pick.
75% chance of success is great when you don't have any other options but it's just plain awful when it's a dodge with a ball carrier.
He is your ball carrier. With dodge you can dodge without using your Team RR. You do not get knocked over when they hit you with dodge-pow. Important to survive with armour 7!!.
Break Tackle gives you only advantage when you dodge, Dodge gives you the benefit when you dodge AND when you get hit!!!
