I managed to beat the skaven 2-1 in a grind where I managed to get 10 KOs - but only 1 player missed one series (11/12 on KO rolls). :)

Next up is a match against a CDw team at about the same TV.

My team
http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... 74&lang=en

His team

http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... 35&lang=en

He has more MB and Guard, I have more AG and a leader RR over him (4 to 3)

Speaking of which, my ag5 Hob rolled 11. So...Sure Hands it is. OTOH, my Dodge BC also rolled 11. I presume I should take the AG.

I don't know what skill his Hob got, but if it is a normal skill and I take the AG on the Bull, that means I'll be down 20TV. Thoughts about that or the game overall? We've played once and I came away with a 2-0 win.

swil - definitely take the +AG on the Bull, it is outstanding, he can pick up or catch the ball much better, not to mention he can dodge more reliably.

I know it is the right long term choice...and hey now I'll have a throwing game! :)

But it doesn't seem as helpful in the short term.

So I'm starting my new season.

I've got just about the lowest TV in the division at 1750.

http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... 74&lang=en

I'm trying to decide if I should keep or drop the -av guard dwarf.

Obviously with only two guard players outside of him I need more guard...but -av lowers his value, especially long term, a lot.

My matchups are

Gobblins: giving up 700k (Ripper/Morg?) if I keep the dwarf.
Stymie Nurgle: 1900
Skaven: 1920
Lizards: 2070
Khorne: 1700

and then teams with even MORE TV on me.

So I can either try and replace him now and hope to gain SPP on my then three rookie dwarves, or keep him and put the other dwarf with guard on the line with the rookies.

Thoughts?

Being in your division, I hate to give you advice, but....

Replace him ASAP. He's not that experienced and just has a normal skill. Try and feed him SPPs when you can (like, give him the ball to score on the last drive versus the depleted goblins -- assuming that game goes that way ;)), and get him back to Guard within a few games.

Dropped the -av dwarf before the gobbo game, and I did get a touchdown on the replacement...but now I still have the 3 rookie dwarves.

Oh well, they make for good line fodder I suppose.

My killer leveled up though. So he is currently:

Dwarf Blocker: MB, Claw, PO, Dauntless

I was hoping for doubles for JU or +ST :)

Since it is a regular skill the options I can see are:

Grab - effective against SS and Fend. Also let's me control if I have to follow up to PO.
Guard - I'm a 1700ish dwarf team with 2 guard players only at the moment. UGH!
SF - making the opposition decide if they want to try and dodge away or face the return if they fail to knock him down.
Frenzy - MOAR HITS! But he is ST3 and I don't have much guard

Thoughts?

Grab is not that useful, as to use it you need to block, and you blitz a lot with that guy (as he's usually on his ass ;)). It would get rid of SS, but that's not as valuable as the other skills you listed.

I like either SF or Frenzy, though I'd likely take Frenzy.

I'm worried that Frenzy will only put him in bad situations - and this guy is a foul magnet.

SF is a nice skill indeed, but it stacks better with guard IMO, since he also can't use SF when he piles on.

Oh...and grab works on blitzes in the cyanide client. :)

Does it? I've used Slibli in the client and I didn't think it did. It will *always* cancel out SS (Blitz or Block), but the positioning aspect of Grab should only work on a Block.

Either way, I'd still go Frenzy -- with only one Frenzy player and a team full of Guard (eventually ;)), you can control it well enough.

But, we play different styles. :D

Looking to my next game my Nurgle opponent has a block/guard Warrior out (yes!) but his block/tackle/MB pestigor got claw (boo!). Not sure if he'll cut the warrior since he has -MV, you can live with it, but might choose to drop...

http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... lang=en-US

As it stands now though I'll be down 4 points of team strength and he has 4 guards to my 2 (presuming I don't take guard on my killer).

Hmm - it does indeed. Perhaps it was fixed in a patch at some point?

I have another interesting matchup now. My 1800 TV Chaos Dwarves
http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.W ... 4&lang=en
vs a high TV undead team (~2240)
http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.W ... 7&lang=en
As usual in this league I will be down strength AND guard.

Looking at the 440 in inducements I'll have to spend I have a few oppositions I can see:

Wizard 150
Bribes 100
Apoth 100
Babe 50
Grashnak 310
Zzarg 90
Morg 430
DP Hob 120 (i have one on my roster, but the odds are high he isn't going to last more then a half!)

1) Wizard (150), DP Hob (120), Bribe (100), Babe (50) = 420

2) Morg (430) = 430

3) Wizard (150), Grashnak (310), Dump a rookie Hob from my roster* (-40) = 420

4) Wizard (150), Grashnak (310), Babe (50). Dump a rookie Dwarf from my roster** (-70) = 440

5) Wizard (150), Zzarg (90), Bribe x 2 (200) = 440

*He does have 5 SPP
**He has 0 SPP

Money isn't a concern as I have 810k in the bank. I have trouble fitting in stars as I already have a starting 11: 2 BCs, 6 Dwarves, AG5 Hob, Leader Hob, DP Hob so dropping a rookie dwarf isn't as crazy as you might think - he will not start if I bring in Morg or Grashnak.

What do you think? Fouling is a little less effective against Undead - since most players have regen, but a couple of the ghouls are quite good and they don't...

Morg for me. Simple, yet effective, and pretty reliable unlike Grashnak.

Bear in mind on the other hand, that I don't put any faith in fouling, a tactic you practice quite a lot apparently ;)

Ps: the link to your team looks broken
