You are setting them up for 3 dice blocks aren't you?Artificial Penguin wrote:Well after three games my 2 mummies have all of *one* casualty been them, and no other SPPs.
Once you have PO mummies make great corner men because no one wants to stand next to one. So your mummies can advance down the pitch unhindered.Artificial Penguin wrote:I'm thinking I'll shoot for block first, just because I've been able to use them in my cage quite effectively. Maybe once my Wights are built up more I can focus on just using the mummies to roam around and kill, but right now it's important to me that they stay up.

I have the same dilema with my Black Orcs... Block or Piling on... Well I tried both...
My Black Orcs with piling on are on the gravy train to SPP... every one with Pile on gains at least one casulty a game... and for a NON ball handler like a Black orc... this can make some nasty black orcs. I have one who just hit 31 SPP and has block, PO and stand firm... He is a nasty guy.
My whole feeling is... it is damn hard to get a 'NON BALL HANDLER' to his first roll. Unless you get an MVP, it is hard! Piling on... especially EARLY in the leauge when most teams are 12 or less players, it is a fantastic skill... when they have 13+... it loses steam since it puts your dude down and you know next drive he will be full strength.
So if it is early in the season, Get them Pile on and have him block and pile on every drive when you recieve. You force your opponent to put his 'slugs' up front and stay away from him. And if you injure a slug, thier whole roster count is down. Your dude will scream through SPP and it will be easy to knock down guys since most 'slugs' early int he season have no skills.
Later in the season... get block, simply because when experienced players are on the field and sending 'slugs' off the field isn't usefull since they will have others to fill in next drive. Also, even 'slugs' will probably have at least block or dodge later in the season meaning the chances of using pile on goes way down.
So first mummy early... get pile on and he will fly up the levels quickly... all other mummies get block and they are doomed to a slow march up the ranks of exp.
