well, look at your roster, and compare that to the teams you play against. you dont seem to have a problem in the strength departmen, so guard is out. PO isnt worth it on that player either. you seem to be against leader, that's fine, throw that out too. you have enough scorers, so you probably wont be taking dodge, although it sounds like a good skill to me. but since you have so many position players, you would likely only use this guy on defense anyway. so go w/ ian's advice, and take diving tackle. it'll surprise the crap out of elves/skaven.

I would go for the Leader to be honest. Many times a T8 touchdown will help or even be necasarry. If anything try a TTM play on the first time you recieve. If it succeeds great if not the I can garauntee that your opponent will line up his d to preven the 1 turn td. Running a regular offense against a defense designed to prevent ttm play is very easy and since his guys are so spread out and far back you can usually start the cage much closer to the endzone. All this and you can usually double/triple team his front line. The psychological aspects of the TTM play are almost as important as the actual score.

Logically therefore I don't need leader - because the play doesn't need to work to get the benefit of the psychological advantage. Like I said I'll run it if I have to, but I don't think it's something I would ever rely on. Anyway, I want these lineorcs to be useful on the pitch, cos as you see from my roster it's competitive for who makes it into those last 2 places after the 4 BOs, Ogre and 4 Blitzers are on.

I have re-thought both my original Dauntless idea and my piling on thing and I don't see me taking either. I was going to go guard, but my opponent had a guard linemen in our most recent game and I kicked his @ss all over the field so he only really got to use it once. I'm now leaning towards dodge just because mostly what my linemen do is get hit!

How about catch and then get pass-block? Make you opponent's passing game a bit harder!

I don't have to be faster than the Ogre, just faster than you!

My team's been going about 28 odd games I think. I started with 4 lineorcs, one got killed, one aged on his first advance (3 casualties - the best way for a line-orc to advance!) got a niggler and was summarily sent to the coaching staff as 'What-not-to-do-with-your-bloodbowl-career' coach, I purchased one replacement so now I have 3. One got tackle early in his career as a result of two MVPs and I'm considering dropping him because he's pretty poor. The other original is the subject of this thread having finally hit 10 SPPs with an MVP after a casualty and an incongruous touchdown earlier in his career. Basically I would have been happy to take block but I'm not wasting a double roll as I've rolled so few!

Sadly, the best player on my Orc team is a line orc. He gained +1 AG, Block, Dodge and Pass Block. He also changed his name to "Elf Poser."
