I would definately take Pro. You can't afford going bonehead, loosing the tacklezone against a none-dodging team, and it will help you a lot getting your next skill.

As for Tackle, you already have Prehensile tail against dodgers. Still, the trick is to avoid loosing your tacklezone.

Break tackle is the only competition in my mind, but only because you lack a Saurus with this skill. As people have already pointed out, BT works best (splendidly!) on Sauri.

Good Luck! Trick him out on the sidelines and use your skinks to put him over it with two dice against you. If you have a re-roll, you stand a good chance of succeeding in this.

Thanks for your votes and comments, everybody. It seems that the TBB community was about as divided on Break Tackle/Pro as I was, and I went back and forth until right before game time last night.

I figured that since I started the Krox as a center-back sweeper on defense and blitzed fairly frequently, Pro would come in handy slightly more often than Break Tackle. As it turned out, he Boneheaded twice; Pro saved him once.

Oh, the game? Well, I was down by 47 points of TR, so I got two handicaps: choosing the weather and inflicting AG 1 on a player of my choice for the first half. I crippled his ball-handling BC and chose "Blizzard" to make it hard for him to push, so he chose to kick off to me.

Long story short: I scored in four turns, he returned the favor, and then he received the second-half kickoff against a Lizard defense comprising six players. By the end of turn 5 they were all off the pitch (no permanent damage this time, Nuffle be thanked!), and he scored on turn 8 to clinch the championship. A nice bonus to this type of game was that the whole shooting match took less than 90 minutes, leaving plenty of time for postgame beers.

Once again, I appreciate everybody's input. I miss my (retired) Break Tackle saurus and his (dead) Block+Tackle teammate, but I suppose I'll just have to train up replacements. Thanks for all your help!
