not meaning to divert the topic.
but has anyone ever benefitted long term from the 1&6 rule for FF results.
it took me from 9 to 15 when I was only winning games 1-0 and no casualties
but that wasn't long term.
Re-get the ref

I've seen someone suffer long term from the 1&6 rule.
He played high elf. On his first 9 games he rolled 1 six times. Not only did it cost him a lot of cash (and high elfs are expensive) but his FF also dropped so low that nobody really wanted to play with him.
After all, we all need money, so why play the FF2 opponent?

ff is a fickle lover at best. but it is at least fair, as no matter what the result of a game, both coaches have the same chances of getting hoofed in the kiwis by their fans. I've seen the worst team in the league gain 6 bpts of ff in 8 games, while my spike winning undead dropped fans faster than the expos.
And to add to the comment made earlier, get teh ref roll is not subject to ones and sixes, just like shadowing or cheering fans or the like, though that one may be two dice. any role is opposed by your opponents role is not subject.

There is a High elf team in our league that has horrible luck on the Fan Factor rolls as well. The team started with a 6, and after 8 games he had a one. He has played close to 20 games now and has watched it get back as high as 5 only to drop down to 2 which it is at now. It is something you look at and groan everytime you play him but isn't something that makes it hard for him to find opponets.plasmoid wrote:I've seen someone suffer long term from the 1&6 rule.
