Too many players on the pitch?

Don't understand a particular rule or just need to clarify something? This is the forum for you. With 2 of the BBRC members and the main LRB5/6 writer present at TFF, you're bound to get as good an answer as possible.

well I never cheat on FF numbers, skills and stuff. I think that's just bad sportsmanship. If an opponent asks me whether a particular player has a skill I always answer correctly.

However, fielding 12 players is a valid tactic for me (although I wouldn't use it) because the punishment is harsh (opp picks one player to be taken off the field and a turnover). that's in-game "cheating" for me (like a foul action) and thus perfectly ok.

In the special rules we use for tournaments around these parts, we also let the opponent remove the player.
In fact, we also use this rule on any illegal set-up. In other words, 3 players in a wide zone? Heck, one of them is suddenly in the back-field or on the LOS. Too few on the LOS? Suddenly the gutter runner is positioned next to a troll. ;)

It happens sometime. We usually just let it go if noticed too late (next kick off) and otherwise the D12 method works OK

Were very harsh in our league. When this happens we randomly decide and that player is banned for the match. Very rarely does a coach make the same mistake again.
