@Norse: I have to say, I'm kind of with you. I was considering a team logo on the pitch for a little while, but I decided it would just make things too cluttered and detract from the photographer. Once option I could do would be to add two vertical coloured banners either side of the arch, like this:



Any thoughts?

And no, no rat ogre at NAFC - I did some heavy playtesting before Christmas and with the format he was just too much of a liability, even though I do enjoy using him

I agree with not using the Rat Ogre, but I like painting big guys so I still did one up

I hate freehand and painting flat surfaces, but I think they'll serve. Better Norse?

yeah, better - still think the arch needs a splash of colour as well, but overall looks more "teamy" now...

Axiom, I'm truly impressed. The amount of work you've put in is incredible, and the conversions have really spiced up the models. I agree with you about the display stand (wherever could you have got the idea for that, by the way?), simple is the way to go. The banners look good, and the Skavenger scaffolding is brilliant. Anything more would be an overcomplication.

I think my favourite individual model is the photographer, but the best thing for me is the amount of character you've got into the team.

My one complaint? The quality of the orange team banners. They just seem a bit clumsy in execution (the paint job) when compared to the rest of the team, although I do realise that it's really hard to paint completely flat surfaces.

Overall a fantastic team and project. Gutted I'll miss seeing a 2nd team of yours.

@nazgob - thanks for the thumbs up! In all honesty I'm not delighted with the banners either - I may revisit.

@Darkson - I'll certainly bring the RO to cheer, but there's no real space on the display and I have no 40mm drill bit (poor excuses I know!). Maybe you can see the 2014 team?

Banners - did you use foil? Used to use thick metal foil for my napalionics banners to make them look like moving in wind and stuff, also while still being a flat surface they aren't if you get my meaning.

How about some splash of orange on that arch around the "Scavenger" logo ?

yeah, worth doing on both.. also, can you rough up the bottom edge (i.e. make it look torn/tattered?)

I'd second both of Norse's suggestions. It probably is worth doing, and if it was a bit tatty it would fit even better.

OK, this is it - no more changes. I can now call myself ready for NAF.

Ragged banners are now done, and I'm not doing anything else!




It looks like I've got 7 weeks to sit around and twiddle my thumbs now
