I would try to score with the lineman so you can hold the line a bit longer so the opponent has to move into the wide zones. Where you can build up a trap.

I would buy the thrower next just to have a backup if your thrower gets KOd or worse. After that you can buy 4 catchers. I like the idea of side step, shadowing, diving tackle. When your are lucky you can gain jump up. After your opponent fall down you can jump up.But then you will need a bit luck. I was thinking to give him not block as first skill. I would start with diving tackle then shadowing and afterwards block. I know having block is very importen. But I think it will last quite long to get the skills for 4 catcher you need. So I would start to specilize first and then give them block.

Played my fifth game today, did extremely good. I played Lizardmen, and dominated them pretty badly. The score ended up being 3-1, and the Cas count was 1-0 me.

The beauty of it was that I got two more skills (wow it is crazy aint it?) Well those two skills were on a catcher with block, dodge already. I am thinking of sidestep. The other skill was on my Ogre, because I had him score (hehe) He ended up getting BOXCARS on his skill roll.

So now I have the decision to I take the ST+ and have a ST6 Ogre, or take block. Both are good selections, and that block is just too good on them, but then who is going to argue with ST6? I am really unsure right now what to do with him. By the way for those of you that understand the concept of my pyramid I moved up a tier today, and am now on row 2 the row with 4 teams. I am slowly but surely progressing and will eventually make it to the top. I plan on that.

Oh I have another thread about a TR100 League, I was thinking should I play Orcs because they are good in general, or play humans like I have in this pyramid. I have opponents like Amazons, and Chaos Dwarves, Orc, Dwarf. It is piling up and up the teams I have to play. I can go Orc or Human.

That is just a side note, as for the issue of my team what do you guys think I should do with the skills I got this game.

I'd take the str... one assist means 3d blocks on most players. Who needs block when you have 3d blocks?

For the double skulls, and block that come up. It is rare but it happens. I want the ST because then I can pick up guard, and multiple block and he becomes a murderer.

So far here is what the concenses is:

Two guys at my local shop that play with me are big on taking block, because no matter what he can still roll a both down, and a skull then he falls on his face and I laugh at you.

One person says take the ST+. Both are very good decisions, and can change the course of the game instantly. A ST6 Ogre is something that people should fear, and will fear if they see him take the pitch and stare down any other Big Guy. He can then take on a Treeman straight up without a problem. Only thing is when he is hit people will be less afraid because of the no block.

It is not easy to decide on right now.

TAKE BLOCK. I play with treemen at str 6 already, and I really really need block.

You will regret it, if you dont.

I've both a treeman with block and a treeman with ST7. Both work well! But I still think ST is a bit better. The Ogre will stand in the way and is not so easy to remove!

I vote for the strength also!

And you will bash your head against the wall when your next roll is a double 5 or lower...
IMO the ogre should tie up opponents. Either he gets 3die blocks easily, or he ties up 3 or more players so that the rest can go ahead and block at will.

Take the ST, then get Multiple Block on your next normal skill roll and just wait for that doubles. I think it's always a shame to waste the Boxcars roll, even to get the best skill in the game (block.)

1/6 chance of doubles
1/36 chance of +ST

I'd play the odds myself.

Take the Str., with ST 6 most of your opponent players will get him down of the field. And they need a lot manpower to do this. So you have not so much opponent players against your blitzer and catcher.
In my league the most player will concentrate on the oger. That is the best way for you to score.
