Thanks! Yep, I use a german modeling clay called Fimo and it works really well for stuff like this. I just made a basic chest shape with some wood grain lines, then gradually added the bands around the edges, not hard at all.

Yes, and the parts used are the hind legs, head and front paws of a goblin wolf rider wolf, and the upper torso and arms of a 40k ork. Armour and gap-filling made with green stuff. 8)

Progress is slow, but consistent. Here is a shot of the first two finished Grim Reapers (aka Underworld Creepers with minotaurs).

Reapers reinforcements on the way! The latest progress I've made is a minotaur - not yet painted, but basically done. As is plain to see, it is made from a plastic ogre body and a customised orc boar head. I can't take credit for the conversion idea, I saw someone selling one of these on ebay when I was shopping around for minotaurs for the team. So thanks to that unnamed someone.

Chests done: Three and a half.
Teleporters done: Still working on the first prototype.

They look really nice!

How do you paint your bases out of interest?

With an extremely simple method, thankfully. I used to mix the paints I used for highlighting the bases, but then I would forget how and then I couldn't get my bases looking consistent anymore. (An example of this can be seen with the goblin above.) Currently I paint the base sand brown - I *think* it's scorched brown, basically a chocolate colour. Then I drybrush this with bronzed flesh, and finally drybrush with bleached bone. Voila.

Hmmm, I'm trying to post some new pictures from photobucket just like I did the previous ones, but I keep getting an error from the forum software saying "it was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image". Anyone know what's up?

Board has been doing that to everything lately, that's why you see people posting links to pictures.

Well that sucks. I guess here are some links then, for those that can be bothered clicking them. (edit: replaced with embedded images now they work again.)

The last picture shows an attempt to make multi-level dungeon terrain, which my friend suggested. I played my first few games with him a few weeks ago and had a total blast. Compared to normal BB when you start in base contact and can throw your full weight against the opposition from turn 1, it is so fun and refreshing to have to run around looking for the ball, making the smashing a more haphazard and less immediate (but still deadly) concern.

Well, here are a few new pictures, one of the start of a recent game I played, showing how it looks with chests and teleporters and stuff, and the next team in line in a WIP state, the War Hawks.
