my only concern is how two dimensional lineman #1 looks (yeah, I know it's a two dimensional image  ) but the way his shoulders and arms are turned to be aligned with the angle of his feet, hips and head, it makes him look as if he's trying to squeeze through a tight gap rather than play football (or a variant thereof).. on the plus side this will make him very easy to mould, but on the downside it just looks very un-natural.. :-?

Work is proceeding very well with the Elves, Juan Miguel finished the 'slot receiver' at the end of last week.

NFL position, typically a 3rd reciever on the pitch. Usually a smaller guy who plays across the middle of the field while the main 2 play the outside. Needs to be a tough little bugger as well, cause playing across the middle you get flattened more often than not since that's where the defence tend to mill about.

Thanks AllyRdr.
That description combined with the figure, it fits perfectly. I can just imagine him running parallel to the LOS and receiving the pass :)

The new catcher looks great - really nice set of gear he has too - I'm a big fan of asymmetrical gear on my FF minis :)

Another nice pose.

Out of curiosity--how are minis like this put into production? Are they printed and then that fig is used to create molds, or is a metal "submaster" of some sort made? Are the prints cleaned up/changed/divided into parts for casting, or is the idea that that's all done with the 3D print? I know very little about the casting/mold-making process, so it's interesting to me!

Metal masters are made from the prints which are polished to create the production mould (at least that is our process).

Not sure how quickly the 150 Early Birds will sell but wanted to be fair to tell everyone ahead of time

Another work in progress mini today - this time a Blitzer. He's staring into the backfield, looking for an opening dart through and crush the ball carrier.

Really like that blitzer. My only gripe with any of the models, is that I prefer them not to be holding a ball, but that's a personal quibble, and other than that I think they are pretty damn good.

The Catcher will not be holding a ball in the final version., only the Thrower - as per ancient convention :)

I'm torn over these. Love the positioning and manga influence but feels just a touch on the sci-fi side...
