I've only made 1 mistake so far (aside from turning up I mean.. ) and that was fouling with the eye on me, but it was a risk I was willing to take..

Aside from that, Spyke has fixed dice, er, pixels... ;)
What is truly frightning is that 4 of the casualties Norse has suffered were caused by 1 player, my #7 (Rob). But not all of the Layabouts casualties can be attributed to me (or my dice) unfortunately, 1 of Norse's blitzers failed a dodge (into 3 or 4 tackle zones) stubbed his toe and almost broke his back in the fall. Full breakdown goes
  • 4 casualties to Pryde #7
  • 1 casualty caused by a foul
  • 1 casualty caused by the crowd
  • 1 casualty is self inflicted
  • 2 players sent off by ref
and that lot caused by a team that started with 8 Vs the layabouts 11. I'll agree it's not pretty reading. But for all that violence the game will probably finish only 2-0.

PS: I agree that Norse is the better BB coach too. But this is the Little League, where if anything can go wrong - it probably will. Sorry buddy.
PPS: Ask Davin about my red dice

Here's a recap of my game so far. All blocks are 2-die affairs unless otherwise noted. Any result of "knockdown" failed to penetrate AV.

* Pre-game: 3 of my players fail to show. 2 of my opponent's players fail to show.

* Coin Toss: He wins and receives.

* Opening Kick: Bad Kick, results in a touchback.

* WUp Turn 1: First block is an SI. Second block is a knockdown. Third is a stun.

* TRG Turn 1: Push.

* WUp Turn 2: First block is a knockdown. Second block (1 die) is also a knockdown.

* TRG Turn 2: First block is a knockdown, but the AV roll is (1,1). Sign of things to come. Send a player on a dodge for a blitz. Needs a 4+ for the first roll. 1, re-roll, 4. Needs a 3+ for the second, rolls a 2. Falls prone still needing a GFI to get the 1-die blitz anyway.

* WUp Turn 3: Knockdown on a 3-die attack. Quick Pass results in 5, 5, TD.

* Kickoff: Quick Snap. Ball heads into a corner. Thrower chases after it 1 square. Ball goes OOB for a touchback.

* TRG Turn 3: First block is double skulls. Re-rolled into a knockdown. Push, push, KO, GFI into a cage.

* WUp Turn 4: First block is a knockdown. My Blitzer is ok, but he's been affected by Duh, Where Am I, so he's Boneheaded for the rest of the match.

* TRG Turn 4: Bonehead rolls a 3 and stands up. First block is a knockdown. Second block is (skull, double down), re-rolled into a knockdown. First dodge roll comes up a 2. Player falls prone.

* WUp Turn 5: Knockdown, GFI, stun, push, knockdown, knockdown.

* TRG Turn 5: GFI. 1. Player falls down and goes prone.

* WUp Turn 6: Push, stun. Lineman declares a hand-off. Gets the ball on a 3, which is caught by another lineman on a 6. That lineman declares a Quick Pass: 1, re-roll, 3, caught on a roll of 3. I'm beggining for a turnover at this point, but at least they've used a re-roll. Of course, I was out of re-rolls two turns ago.

* TRG Turn 6: The Bonehead rolls a 1, so he fails to stand up and go anywhere. Knockdown, dodge for a blitz. Roll a 3. Get a push. Refuse to follow up and try to GFI twice to get a tackle zone on the blitzer with the ball. Fail immediately and fall prone.

Granted, I'm not as bad off as some of these chaps...seven SIs???...but I'd have to say I've had absolutely zero chance thus far to get into this game :)

Hey, that one-die block was by a blitzer at least. ;) I wouldn't have made it otherwise. ;) Otherwise, you have my sympathies, you've already heard the horror stories about my elves. At least none of your guys have died yet though, my elves haven't made it through a game without someone dying, I think they average 1.5 deaths and 3.5 casualties against per game at the moment... ;)

Spyke, I don't claim to be a better BB coach than anyone, far from it...

My only point is that I'm a decent BB coach who is not used to being given the jail... Oops, I seem to have dropped my soap, would you mind getting it for me? ;) ...approach! :x

I'm with Thadrin here... why don't we have a Dwarf pub league...

The Pheasant Ph**kers vs Der Girlz

Post by BigD »

Like Thadrin said, he's had a particularly bad game. My last turn did make the 4-0 but also my thrower with a couple of assists did a SI against a player as well. Following up was my catcher making a run for the line to TD but deciding she really didn't want to do it the easy way and throwing the ball back to a line woman to follow up with a handoff for the TD. Finesse at its best. Der Girlz are shaking their booty and kicking ass all at the same time. Just wait till our cheer leaders show up to help!

At this stage a couple of the line women are actually going to pick up a skill. None of the bitches may have as many casualties but wait for the next game. We're sharpening our nails and adding next time adding a bit of poison while we're at it. We're bitches and we're bad!

I don't think I've ever gotten to the point where I only had four players to set up before!

TPP verses DG

Post by BigD »

Now if any of my games at The Dam had gone this well I'd have been celebrating. Particularly for the second day with my recovery. Have the number of SPPs at this stage is going to make life interesting as well. I don't see the second game for The Bitches going this well but we'll scratch and tear and we don't mind giving out vasectomy's at the same time. Hey Spyke can we have that added - Player looses his scrotum?!? Just a thought of course LOL

TPP verses DG

Post by BigD »

Well its getting ugly now. Its turn 6 for Thadrin and the nasty little bugger has picked up the ball to run to the end of the field.

Der Girlz decided that first we've gotta take out the still standing players. All three of them if possible for slapping our sister and leaving her arse in the air for anybody to ravage. Not that they did, Der Girlz are sure that TPP are all gay!

In comes an assist and smack, another lineman is down and carried off the pitch. He's only KO but if we get the chance we're gonna nail him. Off he goes.

Okay, the next with a blitz and we smack but no such luck. Just prone. DOH! In comes a bit more cover leaving three girls running towards the end of the field. We want the ball and we don't care if its made of pigskin or humanskin, a ball we're gonna have!

Lucky for me because it gave my blitzer his 6th and 7th SP. Look at the silver lining, Chet, you probably wouldn't have been able to score anyway, so at least one of us got something productive out of the turn. ;) And you don't have to deal with the SP roll he gains anyway, so it helps me, and doesn't really hurt you. ;)

Oh, I might as well post a half-time update here as well...

It's now the end of the first half, Team WUP is leading 2-0 and is lined up to kick the ball. WUP's star blitzer Cobra completed the play for a touchdown (after having previously catching the Grillers' star thrower Chet Zeshonski from behind, after being bowled over by Chet in his dauntless charge upfield). This put team WUP up 2-0, with a couple turns left in the half. The Tap Room Grillers took up their chance to try to cut the lead in half with their final two turns, unfortunately without much help from their blitzer Tony Manetta who was still standing cross-eyed on the pitch after having his bell rung earlier in the game.

Team WUP assumed a deep-ish prevent defense (though not passing up any opportunities to take relatively 'free' shots at their outnumbered opponents), and Chet Zeshonski dropped back into the pocket to protect the ball, before scrambling out to make a last pass attempt to get his team on the board in the final seconds of the half. His throw was on target, but Cobra was in position and made a lucky, leaping interception to quickly put the damper back onto the Griller's spirits. The teams head into the locker room, with Team WUP leading 2-0, and the Grillers to receive the ball after the break.

So far the man of the match for Team WUP is obviously their blitzer Marian Cobra, who's demonstrated himself as the complete player, scoring a touchdown, casualty, and interception in the first half of play. The Grillers' captain Chet Zeshonski is leading by example, but has so far been left without a supporting cast to aid him. Luck seems to maintain its back turned to Chet's Grillers as the only injury they mustered against Wup Master's corps (a KO) has been shaken off, and with lineman Andy Corwin returning to the pitch, the Griller's, once again, are faced with a 7 (6 1/2 including Ding-Dong Tony) vs 9 shorthanded situation. However, knowing the Coach/Captain, he'll have at least one more card up his sleeve, and we'll see if his team can make an inspired rally under the threats of violence that Chet's sure to make in his halftime speech. ;)

Spyke: "A good game to play for some real comedy is a seasoned regular Blood Bowl team against a seasoned pub team."

Well, the jokes on you Spyke. Watch the opening of this game where I started my High Elf team against my Human Pub Team. ;) I knew my Pub Team was better, and now I proved it. ;) And no, I didn't re-load, or re-play the game at all, this is my first attempt, played straight through, with me controlling both teams.

But that's High Elves. Do the same thing with a seasoned Dark Elf team and you'll get the expected result. DE win
