Not that much work. Put one witch 3 in from the side, next round, blitz an opposition player to a square closer to the line and adjacent to the witch, then frenzy. It's very easy to avoid though, plus there's always the temptation on the DE player to use that witch instead of positioning her. Once they've got block, the temptation is awful..

It's not hard, and if you have the motivation, it's easy. just set both your witches in your own backfield, they send a receiver down, blitz with one witch and then block with the other. Crowd surf. If you crowd surf enough like that, the opposition gets really wary about sending players downfield. Then you can attack them in their backfield for the rest of the game. Nasty, but it works.

There's a significant difference. Turn 16 fouls never help you win a game. Crowdpushing early in the game always helps.

Turn 16 fouls can get your players dead, and then you will never face them again!

... and maybe help you win the next game against you.

I only do this to c********ers who righteously deserve it. Like players who foul on turn 16.

Of course, what really drives the opposition nuts is when you do this to them in their own backfield. Just take one of their blitzers who's covering the back of thier cage and surf him right off the pitch from 4 or 5 squares in. That's a major psych out.

Its a game with rules.

In football/soccer you still trip/foul players inside the penalty box even if its not a thing to do, and sometimes the refere sees it and sometimes not.

Well, I don't play 16 turn foul myself, but coaches who does it play the game by its rules, not sportsmanlike but within the rules.

And when you crowdsurf some players, and the coach is getting angry, be prepared for a turn 16 foul

I don't tend to crowd surf players a lot. I rarely foul. I know it's in the rules and I don't get too upset when people do it do me, if they're doing it to try to win the game. I just exercise those rules when I'm playing somebody who has already proven themselves to be the kind of player that does that stuff habitually just to try to hurt your team, then I do it out of self preservation. And I'm good at it. Especially crowd surfing. Witches excell at it.

And I'm going to be playing that turn 16 fouler just before our playoffs. I'll have another witch, and I'll give a blitzer frenzy by then. Ouch.

I had to laugh when I saw the comment that fouling on turn 16 is bad form. In my league NOT fouling is bad form. This game is BLOOD bowl you know. and what about the guy that has to play us elves next time?

DE's are difficult because of the Skills set, the tactics needed and ulitmately the weakness of their fluffly (runner/assassins) players.

I love em though.

We give 1SPP for foul casualties, just to encourage people to be more sadistic.

In our League all casulties (Fouls, failed GFI, etc) count towards the Casulty score for the game so Turn 16 Fouls can help you to get an extra League point from the game.

Fouling can help to reduce the number of opposition, but can back fire and cause you to loose players so is often difficult to balance. Opponents always try and fould my Trolls when they are down and often find they are being send off more than doing damage to the Troll.

I must work on getting that crowd Surfing to work as that sounds like fun!

In our league, the only thing that counts toward CAS SSPs are blocks. Nothing else. So fouling is kind of a waste of an action for the turn. I crowd surf occassionally to get the opponant's good players off the pitch early in the game. After that, I'm scoring TDs.
