I think the tree does help survivability, but i don't think they win more, so removing the tree won't nerf the team in that way. It's the wardancers that are the problem (if there even is one...........) :P

Actually, sad to say it, but the problem is a team full of MA7/AG4.

What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Hmm, I think the problem is universal dodge access and excellent out of the box positionals who don't need a single upgrade to be at near peak efficiency.

7 3 4 7 doesn't bother me, although they could stand to lose AG access, I suppose. Dodge on one advance makes a Wood Elf linemen a nice piece.

It would make a big difference at 1.1M.
Perhaps. But I find wood elfs to be plenty problematic in standard league play and 1M tournaments, so I'd personally be looking for something else (or something more)

Right, this poll also seems settled (just short of 50).
Pruning the wardancer looks like the winner, and dodge is the prime candidate for getting snipped.
I will set up a poll shortly with some wardancer options.

Runner up, given my interpretation, is removing the tree.

Doing both is also an option 8)

Soo, dodge is winning out as the skill to get cut.
I read back through the thread and got these 7 options.
Let me know which ones are best and which ones are pointless.
1. 8347 block leap
2. 7347 block leap fend
3. 8347 block leap fend
4. 8347 block leap SideStep
5. 8347 block leap JumpUp

Cheers
Martin

#1 for me as well. and since you asked for it, feedback on all ideas:

#1- the best option, it;s clean and simple, and gives Wardancers a 1 skill nerf on their career.
#2- Fend and an MAreduction... not awful, but #1 is simpler and better
#3- With Blodge Fend Leap after 1 advance, I'm not sure it isn't actually a benefit!
#4- Side Steo encroaches on Pro Elf Blitzer, and see comment on #3, Blodge Sidestep Leap is not that big of a nerf.
#5- Baaad idea on two levels, 1st, too similar to the witch elf. 2nd, jump-up removes a major penalty from leaps and failed dodges.

Hi Jural, re: #3.
The idea is simple. Fend is a skill you'd take late, if ever.

So yes, blodge fend on 1st skill would be nice.
But not as nice as the original wardancer, who'd have blodge strip ball.

IMO, strip ball and tackle - possibly dauntless or frenzy are all extremely popular WD choices, pushing fend far down your wants list.

Fend makes them a little better in the mid-long term becuase it protects them a from frenzy/PO. Its less useful in the short term. Mv7 is just something I want to see happen anyway :)

#2 to #5 aren't really nerfs.

Though I'd vote for #6 7347 Block, Leap.
