Blood Bowl - Legendary Edition 12 new playable races

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

Hmm... I guess we'll see how "well" that works then.

The closer this gets to release the less I seem to be liking it, the whole it will be released in October ready or not seems extremely short sighted to me.

Otherwise, please stop bashing a company for incompetence when you're unable or unwilling to do what they are doing yourself.
For the record, I can't really get into all of that Cyanide hate.
I think a lot of people knew what they were getting into, have had hours of fun with the game - yet still complain like they hadn't gotten any value for their money.

That being said - ddancer - that is the lamest argument ever!
We all go to professionals for stuff, and shouldn't get an amateur job.
[Now-now guys, no dirty thoughts please  :D]
If I go to a baker and get a donut tasting like a turd, I sure don't think I "could have made one myself". Or buy a new laptop and it doesn't work - heck, I could have just built one myself.
Come on.

It's a frame of reference. You can't say "it's easy" without being able to reproduce the affects. I can be disappointed with their output, sure. Calling them incompetent kind of indicates you have knowledge enough of what has to happen to pass judgment on them. I doubt many of us know what sort of hoops they have to go through to code, implement, and navigate through legal channels for the game.

Just say you don't like the game. That I cannot argue.

Me? I like the game for what it is. :) Do I have sticking points of what I'd like to see? Sure. But overall, I'm digging it. And looking forward to more diversity in the next incarnation. :D

No. I don't have to be a professional programmer to know that they are incompetent, just like I don't have to be a professional footballer to know when a team plays badly. They are incompetent because they fail to code very basic things, like when a skill should apply a +1 modifier. People who do have knowledge of programming have even managed to fix some of Cyanide's errors without full access to the source code or editing programmes, in their spare time. If people can fix things in their spare time, without access to the tools that the professionals have, then there is no excuse.

But do you know how many programmers they had working with it and how long time they had to implement and test it? Do we know what kind of support they got from GW and their own company? There are many factors that might have contributed to these simple errors.
I'm not saying that's an excuse, just that incompetense isn't the only explanation.

IF they didnt have enough programmers for the first game, I'm afraid what they will do with the new one.
Surely they have more manpower by now...?
And seeing people talk about "no matter what, it WILL launch in October" makes me wonder...

I probably wont buy it for fullr etail. I'll wait for the price to go down. After all I can still enjoy my occasional game of BB on the comp. *shrug* even with it's faults it's okay-ish
