Double on Ghoul on undead-Team - what to do

Post by Tante Kaethe »

Hi folks,

I'd like to ask you for an advice on the a.m. Ghoul. The team looks like this:

I have 3 Ghouls, 4 Wights, 2 Mummies, rest Zombies/Skelly and 6 Rerolls. One Ghoul has MA+1, AG+1, Block, Dodge and Catch (my star... :D ). The other Ghoul already has Sure Hands, AG+1 and rolled a double.

I thought about Pass or Dump Off. Maybe Accurate, but I often throw Passes to one of my Wights and with Pass I could save one Reroll for the Catch.

So what are you suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance :D ,

Tante Käthe.

I'd opt for accurate

accurate is better than pass as it decreases he chance to have to re-roll the pass. AG4 and accurate means short pass on 2+, long pass on 3+. What are you afraid of? You'll most probably have to re-roll you catch roll with your Wight anyway, not the pass roll.

With accurate you get a much better thrower, the pass skill does not improve your throwing skill, you get just a second chance for failing a long bomb... :)

Hi narcotic,

what I am afraid of? A turnover of course :D (you should see me roll those dice... :-? )! If I calculate it correctly, the chances for a succesful Quick Pass are 83%-chance with Accurate and 97% with Pass. Short Pass will be again 83% with Accurate and 89% with Pass. Long Pass will be 67% with Accurate and 75% with Pass. And finally I have a Long Bomb on on 50% with Accurate and 55% with Pass. All of the above calculations are of course only true, if I don't use my Team-Reroll on the Pass.

So, the chances are higher with Pass, if I would like to keep the Reroll.

Greetings,

Tante Kaethe.

ok I'll put it in another way:

the fact that makes accurate superior to pass is that passes you wouldn't dare before come into the range of possibility AND you can use a TRR in any case. Furthermore it reduces the fumble chance. You hardly dare a 5+ or 4+ pass with or without re-roll, a 3+ is something different.

If you take the %chances than accurate +TRR is far superior than pass skill with no posible TRR...

with pass you dublicate something you already can have (re-roll) accurate changes the basic odds.

It depends what sort of passing you are attempting.

If its quick/short then pass is probably a better bet. If its long then accurate.

On AG3 accurate is better.

Assuming a 3+ catch roll then if you have a team RR available a 2+ throw without pass is more likely to succeed than a 3+ with pass (only by about 4%)

OK,

you have convinced me - I'll take Accurate (but I will be whining and cursing when I blow my Team-Reroll on a Pass and can't reroll a failed Catch afterwards... )

Thanks for your help :D ,
