Hi there,
I am also painting up Phil's Valks for my female Norse Team "Iron Maidens"
. I have used the following figures for each position:
Blitzress: V1 and V2 (2x each)
Catchress: V5 (2x)
Linemaiden: V3 and V4 (3x each)
Throwress: V6 (2x)
The figs are great and big fun to paint. For the color scheme I have used a light grey for the shirts, dark red for helmets and kneecaps and dark brown for all leather parts. I have already posted a picture of my female minotaur, you can check it out under viewtopic.php?t=12190 . The only thing that I am not so happy about is that there is no Valk available who is holding a ball (= throwress)
.

Hi all,
If I have become an expert at one thing it would be Phil's Valks. I have just finished up a team I use as Amazons/Norse. I did the Blitzers by attching GW Plastic Wolf Capes from the Mordheim/Middenheimer sprue to V1, 2x V2, and V4. This left a combo of the others for linemen , especially V3 which would not support a cape. I even put the plastic human gloves on the catchers, although I now feel that I would leave them as is if done again. I also have an extra V5 that will get a chainsaw/chainsword if/when my team can get secret weapons!
I have 2xV6 throwers although I also plan on converting a V4 into a "unique thrower" and converting the one of the finished V6's into a charging swordwoman for my Norse Mordheim Warband Finding a small enough football hand will be hard though.
I "might" be able to use one of the V5 catcher hands I took off, add a ball, and pin it to a V4?
I also really used those Middenheimer sprues on my Blitzers by adding wrist blade/gauntlets decorated by the Wolf Glyphs. Phill seemed to like them at Three Kingdoms a couple of months ago.
By the way I only got 2x V4 and thank God!! because that Valk is the toughest to paint up nicely with her face half covered and her "odd" left elbow.
As for the Black Widows, I'm using the "catchers" for Pro Elf catchers to convert my Dark Elf team to Pro Elves. I also got 2 each of the other widows for Vampires. Fits the look of my team with a Male Vampire Lord and his Succubbi Brides on the field leading my converted Human team as thralls. Black is good for multiple-use teams in my book. Paint 1 team, get to PLAY 2 teams!! because I paint well but SLOW

"Don't blame the dice!? Blame the figure which cost you $15.00 on eBay and took you two weeks to convert and paint!!"
