Dwarf Conversions?

Post by Malak »

Hi All.

Looking at getting together a Dwarf team, not 100% sure of either of the GW Dwarf teams) and seeing as I'm pretty mini-led wanted to look at the possibility of a converted team.

Anyone got any recommendations for models to start with? Any well-known base models for Dwarf conversions?

So far I've only really spotted the new GW Doomseekers which could look pretty cool with the axe-heads-on-chains snipped off & perhaps a sholderpad or too...

Yeah, they are some pretty cool looking figures,Have you seen the "doom cannon" (C.Dwarf) crew? With new heads they might look ok as dwarf players but personally have not converted any.

Chaos Dwarf? I can't say I'm familiar no... I've done the basics (GW site search (both) & Google but can't find them. Any pics etc? Thanks!

Ahyes, the Hellcannon! Sorry, yes, I'm being a bit dense -- I should have spotted that!

Yes, it is rather cool isn't it? And those new Chaos Dwarfs -- yumm! I had a look at them & you're right, they could well be ripe for convertion, but yes, a wee bit chaosy I guess.

If jou want a converted dwarf team try 'Long-Drong-Slayer-Pirates' from GW.

The poses of the normal warriors are perfect for BB and in combination with some slayers and 2-4 other fitting modells the will make a perfect BB-team. 8)

I made my streetbowl team out of Long Drong's pirates. They do all have a very similar stance and looks, so making different positionals out of them can easily get confusing...

if you have plenty of spare cash why not get the 2nd ed chaos dwarfs. On the whole the body are very well positioned and the heads could be swapped if you go the skills  would also mix the style of the basic 2nd ed dwarfs with similar pads and jerkins.
just dont paint them all ginger

Well I wouldn't go that far!

Y'know even before your post I was considering using the CDs for the team, still sticking to the Dwarf 'list, but using the CD models for a kinda 'Persian Dwarf' team.

Yes, that means leaveing the hats & everything! But a Deathroller with a CD driving it & no hobgoblins really appeals to me.

I adore the new CD that came with the Hellcannon, but kinda enjoy a slightly more comedic approach to BB and so cold really dig the big hats in that context...
