New Sticky?

Post by Skummy »

Could we start a new sticky topic - "TR 100 Rosters for Tournaments?"

Content would be much like the regular one, but I'd really like to see what rosters the top players are bringing. Posting gken's Khemri list, Tim's Chaos Dwarves, or anything the Spanish team is bringing, for example.

My preferred Orc line up:

4 BOBs
3 Blitzers
1 Thrower
2 Line Orcs
2 Goblins
3 RR
1 FF

Against agile teams its better having 4 blitzers & 3 BOBs.

I had been starting dwarves like this:
2 Blitzers
2 Slayers
2 Runners
5 Longbeards
3 RR
3 FF

but last weekend, I traded in 1 RR and 1 FF for an apothecary...and it came in very handy (used, or needed to use, it in 5 of the 6 games!)

So, I think I would recommend that now (taking the apoth)

Orcs rosters are very flexible. at the Underworld last weekend, 4 of the 12 teams were Orc, and not one of them had the same roster, though Absent's was the only one with no thrower ;) (course, he did win it)

For my Wood Elves at the Eurobowl, I took an unusual setup, but it worked pretty well (and drew LOTS of comment).

5 Lineelves
4 Catchers
2 Wardancers
5 Fan-Factor
0 Rerolls

Two things have to be said: Play very very very carefully, and the Eurobowl allowed a trait (leader) after game 3 (out of 6).

I think only one game passed where I didn't get a reroll from a Brilliant Coaching or a Cheering Fans, and with FF5 vs most other teams' FF2 I got quite a few kickoff results going my way.

And seeing as Dodge is equal to blodge vs non-block teams, I always ended up with a lot more elves on the pitch than in a "standard" 100TR lineup (and a lot more mobility).

Amazons

4 Blitzers
8 Linewomen
1 Apoth
4 RR
3 FF

IMO Throwers and catchers aren't worth the extra 20k.

For Necros the fouling option:

2 WW
2 Wights
2 Ghouls
7 Zombies
3 RR
2 FF

And then take the Zombies to foul the shit out of any opponent.
Looks interesting to me but havn`t tested it.
