Norse Team - commission work

Post by Thrawn »

Here's a Norse Team I have done for commission:

In total, I did 15 minis. Gemstones on the bases were not my idea.
Picture quality could be better, but I'm a poor photographer.

Comments would be appreciated.

Cheers

Wow, they look great. I love the skin tone and definition.

Could you post some more individual pictures. I'd love to see the detail in some of the other minis.

painting is great, but be wary of putting too much stuff on the bases...

1) it is meant to be a pitch, not a junk yard..

2) good luck fitting a ball on.. :lol:

nice painting though.. :wink:

@Norse

Thanks! All the "stuff" on the bases were requests by the buyer so I had not choice and he even supplied the bits. In BB I wouldn't recommend anything on the base but he's the boss, you know?

Cheers

Nicely done, did he request the cammo these too or did you get to make that call?

I like the nice "dirty" and used look of the whole team... well, IMO to much stuff on the bases, but, as you wrote, the paying person is boss... :roll:

normal you paint 40k imperials, eh ? :wink:

@traveller
Well, I did a whole Cadian army last year on commission and especially for the tanks I did a very "used" paint job.

To be honest, in reality the whole mini looks dark but not exactly used. I toy around a little bit with the used look for my WE.

@Grashopper
Everything was done on request so I there was a minimum on creative freedom for me in these minis.

@kithor2002
Big guy? Nope but I did a funny BB Oger last year but that was for someone else.

Cheers

Thrawn, i'd be be very interested in how much you charged for that job. I'd love to have some BB woodelfs in that look. I tried it myself once, but the camo look did not come out as wanted.

Feel free to PM me ;)

Have to agree, great paint-job, too bad the buyer wanted so much stuff on the bases, it's a bit too distracting. Still, they look great. :wink:

Camo looks good, but I don't like it on a Norse team, but as you said, buyer chooses.
