Green Stuff

Post by rabidroadkill »

Does it matter if I get it in ribbon or tube form? Or are they the same?

I bet the main reason the police keep people away from a plane crash is they don't want anybody walking in and lying down in the crash stuff, then, when somebody comes up, act like they just woke up and go, "What was THAT?!"

Get the tubes - I use green stuff alot and have found that the ribbons tend to cure in places where the colors meet - giving you hard chunks within the putty once mixed.

You can always cut that middle section out before you knead the two halves together. It does result in a little extra wastage though.

Thanks, I'm about to make a decent sized warstore order, so I figured I would pick up a tube if it was better than the ribbon. Plus for only about $4-5 more I get a hell of a lot more than the GW stuff at the shop.

I've never tried the tube stuff, but I would suggest getting the ribbon stuff instead - the ribbon can easily be stored in the freezer (you can snap off a small bit at a time), and it is easy enough to remove the semi-cured central bit before mixing...
