What next?

Post by Gandhi »

This basically puts me in a newbie position so i think i just post it here ;)

So far I played High Elves and a Necromantic Team. Both teams are more from the Fast/Agile side of the camp.

Now I'm thinking of starting something new and different.

Maybe something with Big Guys or TTM but it should have room for tactics (so NO, I won't choose Ogres with all that Bonehead)

Any advice, what i could take? Maybe Orcs + Gobos on the Cockerel....

So, you want a team that is different from the fast/agile ones you have used, and has the option of TTM? That just leaves you with Orcs, Goblins and Halflings. I'd be tempted to try Orcs; they are a nice solid team, and the TTM aspect is just a nice bonus for them really. Orcs are a good tactical challenge, as they are simple to use, but difficult to really master (IMO).

Good luck with whatever you choose!

Orcs as Nazgit says, but Chaos Dwarves also features a big guy, tactical options, allthough they lack TTM.
Undead, allthough they seem like necro, they play very different.
2 ST5 players and lots of options.

If you want a tactical challenge go Halfling. Really, they're so much fun and with on-pitch TTM they can win. Although it happens slowly (with all te burials, retirements and clogged up arteries), they do develop.

Well TTM is not a MUST it's just a nice addon.

CD seem to have potencial. They are fast (BC), they are slow (D-Blocker) and they are fragile (HobGobs) And a wild animal always comes handy (at least for the opposing coach :))

Undead? Uhm I thougt they'd be just like 'another necroteam' :) But I guess it won't be a problem to expand my necroteam with more mini's to create an undead team out of the same pool. Maybe that would be the 'low-cost-variant' for me.

Orcs were my first thought since they seem to have every bit I'm asking for PLUS their Cockerel leaves so much possibilities that they are a real task for a long time (I hope so...)

What about going stunty? Hum Halflings are too far out for me right now but maybe a Goblin force? Maybe even combined with an Orc team, so that i can swap from stunty to 'da reel boyz' :)

Hell yaeh, i think I'll build a Goblin/Orc team!

Now for a theme....Hum.. Snowwhite and her (not-so-dwarfy)-dwarfs? (I can really picture the troll right now :)), 'Da-green-Smurfs-united'?

Uh Oh...that new team calls for greenstuff (surprise...they are green...) ;)
