Very good looking side to begin with :O much better than most

But tactics can be far more important than skills in most games. Id drop Diving tackle as its marginal use -and little value at all in a bashing league. Maybe leap or stripball would combo better with dodge blitzer - as he can then threaten the ball in new ways. Or maybe tackle if undead and humans about - very good blitzer utilty skill.

Maybe kick next lino skill as its great if you can hassle slow bash teams.

oh general advice for survival with elfs - get the ball

Not a silly statement because the basic premise of fighting for the ball and moving it will distract most teams. The better you get at extracting and controlling the ball - even on defense - the better your team will be. Let a rival just start hitting you and if they have the ball safe you are in touble.

Ok. That team is insane! How many games have you played with it? Honestly having played DEs this season and being above averege ability in my group it seems to me that you are a much better player than your opponents as your roster seems remarkably full for a team in a bashy league and your players seem extremely experienced. Honestly I havn't lost a game since my first two, I have a FF of 11, I have played 10 games, have only suffered one death and I only have 2 blitzers and 1 witch and a lot less experience than your team.

I really think I must be missing something.

Try not to pass then. Or if you have to pass a lot, get a thrower.

BONUS

Post by Jimmy Nids »

As a bonus, at least most games, I've rolled the Extra MVP handicap so my players are going up faster, thats sorta why i didn't want to buy more players yet.... MVPs go to guys who need them more often.

But I have 90k in the bank... Pondering if i should save it for more rerolls, a 3rd blitzer, or spend it on a thrower

I would alternate between blizers and re-rolls for my next purchases.

I've got a DE team that has played 18 matches and now has a full roster - I've been very lucky and had no deaths and only one stat reduction that hasn't been healed. (I replaced this player.)

I now have

4 blitzers
9 line-elves
2 witch elves
1 thrower
5 re-rolls

I tend to complete my blitzer collection first before getting witch elves. I think of the blitzers as the work-horses who I need to be developed asap.

I would give Tackle to your blitzer who has gained a skill... but it does depend on how much Dodge you have in your league. Our league has tended to have quite a lot of Dodgy players.

I would give Leap and Strip Ball to the guy with AG5 next (though missing Dodge is a problem).

you have skills on all your line elves, i'd say it's time to invest in the thrower.

especially if you've still got that chaos team next on your list. having an extra bench player is always a plus. :)
