New Chaos team LRB 5

Post by TuernRedvenom »

LRB 5, starting TV 110, free apo when starting the team.

I'm thinking:
4 * Chaos Warrior 400k
8 * beastman 480k
3 * reroll 180k
4 * fan factor 40 k

Next I'll save up for the mino.

Jeez, that should be enough to help, why not take wood elves with that kind of head start?

Considering the fact that you get a free apoth. Ditch a beastman and get a 4th reroll. FF4 vs 40K in the bank is your personal choice though.

Tbh other races are going to benefit from TV110 and free apoth a lot more than Chaos.

Because I'd just rather play chaos. The game is not just about winning...

OK, I have 0 experience with chaos but isn't 4 rerolls too much?

No, 4 re-rolls is maybe not enough. But seriously, I would consider starting with 4 now. You'd be surprised how quickly you use them with a team like Chaos ... blocking, ball handling, dodging....

Fair enough, exactly why I play Halflings once in a while....

teaches me humility! (and for the record I have never played Woodies)

Chaos whenever I have played against them can never start with enough rerolls. They just seem to burn them like kindling

4 rerolls it is then.
4 * Chaos Warrior 400k
7 * beastman 480k
4 * reroll 240k
4 * fan factor 40 k

I am going to keep the ff, in my experience it's still better to just spend it on ff then keep it in the bank. Mainly for kick off results, rather then winnings.

I have 6 on my developed Chaos side and I still don't have enough skills to consider bleeding one away. I started with 4 and it really helped keep the team in control of the game.

Sometimes you luck out and have a spare reroll at the end of the half. But when you have 0 skills to help reduce failed dice rolls and will probably only pick up 1 skill per match, those rerolls help. A lot!

I think it's only Vampires that need rerolls more than Chaos do.

What do you mean you start out with no skills??? You get horns on every beast, thats much more valuable than any of the other teams skills......Think of the poor amazons who only get dodge to start with and worst case scenario would be a blodger after 1 skill advance. You should feel bad for talking so foolish Fen......... :smoking:

You start with :

0x Block
0x Dodge
0x Sure Hands
0x Pass
0x Catch
0x Sure Feet
0x Pro

= 0 skill rerolls

I back the 4th reroll plan 8)

Yeah I started my first chaos team with only 2RR and it was a nightmare, its bad enough they arent great ball handlers, then with no block you are rerolling blocks besides..........That was LRB4 though where the RR were 70K back then, if i started a new team I would definitely take 4RR........

I've played one league-match with the following line-up against skaven:
4 CW
7 Bm
4 RR
2 FF
2 CL

The end-result: 2-3 in touchdowns (i've lost this match) 3-0 in CAS, and one skill increase which is awesome for a chaos-team. It was a tense game, and the extra cheerleaders helped A LOT for gaining extra re-rolls, and more importantly, keeping the opponent from gaining them.

In LRB5 pay extra attention to cheerleaders and assistent coaches, they count a lot more than in LRB4.

In this case I would even change one of the CWs for a beast and go for 3CW 5 RR 2 FF and make sure you use those re-rolls, which shouldn't be too much of a problem

Instead of 4 FF I would suggest 2 FF, an Ass Coach and a Cheerleader.
More chances of winning Kick Off rolls.

Greets!
