Rat Ogre question

Post by Rewslaun »

Greetings,

If my rat ogre has the ball and I am trying to score a td with him; is it legal to declare a blitz but not hit an opposing player, just to get that +2 to the wild animal roll?

I recently did this in a game and I was told that it was against the rules. I thought it was a legit play because by doing so I won't be able to blitz any other players this turn.

If someone could please clarify it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Slaunrew

I think we had this discussion before.

And i think the ruling was yeah it is ok, but you waste your blitz.

It's legal

You also can declare a blitz to stand up on a 2+

I'm pretty sure you're correct. The rules say 'may' block etc. As long as you haven't already declared a Blitz Action with another player in the same turn, its a valid move.
