TV 110 Nurgle's Rotters

Post by Vinz D. »

Recently struck by Nurgle's Rot and as such, I've been looking into creating a roster for tournaments. Now, after thinking about this for a few days, I have come up with the following roster:
- 1x beast of nurgle
- 2x nurgle warriors
- 4x pestigor
- 5x rotter
- 3x re-roll
- 1x cheerleader

Now the one point that might bring some problems is the skill choice...

Rotters - Normal: Sure Hands (1x), Block, Disturbing Presence / Double: ?
Pestigors - Normal: Block, Strip Ball, Disturbing Presence / Double: ?
Nurgle Warriors - Normal: Block / Double: Dodge
Beast of Nurgle - Normal: Juggernaut / Double: Block

Any pieces of advice on this one?

Hmm, well it's a nice listing. But I'd take advantage of the extra 100K to get as many Nurgle Warriors as possible. Those guys are really good, they're probably the best ST4 pure Blockers in the game (apart from maybe Flesh Golems - but you don't get enough Flesh Golems for them to actually do their job right.)

I'd go:

Beast of Nurgle - 140
3 Nurgle Warriors - 330
3 Pestigor - 240
4 Rotter - 160
3 Reroll - 210
FF2/1AC+1CL

3 Pestigors is ample to do all the ball handling duties you could want to start.

Whatever you decide the following things are right - Beast of Nurgle, at least 2 Pestigors and 3 Rerolls. Personally as well I think you want as many Nurgle warriors as possible, to allow you to hold your ground against Orcs and the like. While also providing Disturbing Presense coverage against Elf teams.

as it says , tournaments , banking cash for future purchases seems waste of cash

Thanks for the advice all... I guess it's back to the drawing board with this one for the moment. :P

I would go with
6 Rotters
2 Pestigors
3 Nurgle Warriors
1 Beast of Nurgle
3 RR
2 FF

That gives you a benchwarmer. If you feel comfortable with 11, you could drop a Pestigor and Rotter for 1 more NW, but I think it's wise to go with 12 players in a TV 1.1 tourney.

I'm not sure of the tournament structure, but I'm guessing you won't be able to use Nurgle's Rot, will you? Are teams reset after each game? If you can't use Nurgle's Rot, then you are wasting an important part of team. But on the flip side, you wouldn't have to worry about Decay either.
