Need help spending 100K

Hi all.

I'm in a very small league (3 players). I have 100k to spend and really need a win.

My team is here: As Seen on TV!

My opponent is here: Mini-Me Men

Basically I hurt the Chaos Dwarfs bad. He has a Bull and Minotaur out for the next game. So he hired Hthark.

I'm in good shape but have 3 players with niggles.

I really need a win here. There are only 2 games left in our Season and a win would cap a comeback from last place. So at this point I'm really not thinking long term.

The options I've been considering are: Hire Morg and use him to eliminate the Hthark threat or Fire my niggled BOB and buy a new one.

My thinking was if I hire Morg I would have str 6 guy that could tie up Hthark and then if my BOB niggled on me, I could save my apoth for the game. On the flip side, getting rid of the niggled BOB would guarantee I had the apoth for the game for any damage Hthark would inflict.

So am I off in my thinking?

I'm a relative newb and nobody in our league has hired a star before. Frankly, I've never had to play against one. So I was just looking for the best way to deal with them.

I really don't foul (another friends suggestion was to gang foul Hthark out of the game) because the league is composed of family (brother and brother-in law). Well actually, I don't foul much cause it's not my style... family doesn't enter in to it

Any suggestions/pointers would be appreciated. The game is tonight.

Htark isn't too scary now, only ST5 and no MB. But he is still pretty good at breaking cages given his ST5, BT (not as good as Thrud mind, but at least he won't change sides halfway through!)

To be honest, without the Mino and Bull, the other team isn't that great and you could just tie Htark up with a lino. He'll got knocked down, but with AV9, it shouldn't really matter.

If you REALLY want to win, then Morg would be great, with him you'll completely outstrength the CDs and should dominate. Thrud is more fun for half the cost (although he can be a 2-edged sword..).

yes... I should of specified that in original post.

This will be LRB4 rules using Javabowl and FUMBBL.

It is an online league/game.
